To make things short : Go to the the Layers panel. Select the layer you want to save as image. Right-click and select Quick Export As PNG. Choose a destination folder and export the image. You can also go to file menu -> Export -> Quick Export As PNG

Are you using a recent version of photoshop and is your image layer selected? You could also access the quick selection tool, then click “select subject” in the upper bar, then add a layer mask to the image layer to remove the background. Thats a workaround if the properties panel isnt working.
Did you place the image in a different document? If so, you can select "Convert to Layers" and wait a few seconds. Then the "Remove Background" button will appear.
I don't know why Adobe make it more complicated to export transparent background in new update the older version of adobe is simplier any way thank you.
how do I export as a PNG, so that it saves the POSITIONING of each individual layer? i've corrected the canvas size, but when i try to plug it in, it places it right in the center. i've tried quick export, i've tried export as, i'm not sure how to save each individual piece so that it stays where it's positioned on the photoshop canvas any help?
One problem though is the hand of the thing I tried to cut from the background is gone so if you can make a video on how to fix the image after would be nice

It doesn't give me an option of removing the background when I go to properties. I don't even see quick actions.

Huge Thank you!!!!!! I was making my company logo and I wanted a transparent background and this totally made it happen.
I save as PNG, but it still converts the transparency to white.

Never mind I figured out how to unlock it. But when I pick properties, it says no properties.
