Love the measuring spoon trick! This will save me so much extra work, instead of have to wash my one set of spoons off in between ingredients while trying to bake. Thanks for the tip!
YT just asked me to rate your comment, wtf! There were options, I marked two: I empathized with it, and it says thanks to the video creator. Weird new feature🤔
My mind is blown from the second hack, pressing the spoon into the flour. That is pure GENIOUS!!! A few of these hacks brought me back to foods classes in high school. We learned the damp paper towel trick, and that sharp knives are safer than dull. I entered the Giveaway by sharing this video to my family through email! I think they would enjoy these tricks as much as I did!
I loved the idea for baking, pressing the spoon in. Using syrup is so messy so instead of getting in a sticky mess using a measuring spoon, I can just squeeze it straight out the bottle. I also entered the contest ☺️
Entered the contest! Another great tip: if the oils have seperated in you nut butter jar, out it on the floor, on the side, and give it a few good spins!!! this gives you perfectly creamy nut butter again.
Thank you for these helpful tips, Brittany! I love the baking tip about putting the impression of the measuring spoon in the dry ingredients along with the wet paper towel under the bowl/cutting board!
Brittany you've done it again! These are some amazing tips. I already knew a few of them, but the tip about pressing the measuring spoon into the flour is a game changer! So smart! I tried the sour cream in the eggs and it is really good! I was skeptical, but both my husband and I really liked it.
Shared this with my 76 year old baker mother. Some of these were mind blowing! Definitely going to look for the apple corer with extra slices. Thank you!
My Grandma used to love to bake when we stayed at her place and she used to wet a tea towel to hold the baking bowls in place so they wouldn’t move, it didn’t have to be wet, I still use that method whenever I’m baking which isn’t very often Lol 😂. Great tips Brittany but some of them have been around for years, it’s only now that the younger generation are learning about them. ❤️❤️❤️Love your channel and content. 🇦🇺
Brittany is sharing these tips for those of us who didn't have grandmas in our lives to teach us 😅 she's definitely going to be the best grandma with ALL the tips someday tho
@@freya9056 I understand that, I was only commenting on what my Grandma taught me growing up, I’m @62 years old and I’ve taught my own children the same things and will teach my future grandchildren the same hopefully one day soon. Have a Good Day. 😊
I shared your video because it has wonderful information . I'd like to be entered into your generous giveaway! I learn so much from all your videos. I am so excited about the spoon impression one you showed today!!!!
I’m proud to say that I knew most of these tips. Usually I don’t have a clue. I don’t have an insta pot but I did know that trick. I didn’t know avocado oil existed. The don’t over stir rule also applies to muffins and biscuits. The more you handle biscuit dough the harder they get. I love watching your videos. TFS.
My Momma taught me a few of these genius hacks! She ALWAYS used to put a damp paper towel under the gravy pitcher so it would not slide around on the plate while carrying it to the table or back to the kitchen for refills (also she placed the gravy pitcher on a salad plate to catch drips) at Thanksgiving! I’m going to miss her genius life hacks- she passed from Covid in January 🥲 I believe she’s in Heaven now but that doesn’t make missing her every day any easier.
Thanks for all those great tips. I have a problem with the pancake tip, though. Those pancakes looked raw in the middle, which is also a problem when you make your batter too thick and dry.
Brittany, I love all your videos so much! That baking soda trick is perfect!! I had that very problem last night sautéing my chicken. Definitely trying that next time. Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication to bring us amazing content! 💕
I just love watching your channel. You’re such a beautiful combo of grace and class, but still real and practical. Also - I have been LOVING my Vasseur products for my skincare routine!!
Entered the contest ..shared with my daughters 🥰 You’ve convinced me I need an Airfryer …And I love all your tips on making it easier without having to dirty a spoon every time I cook 🙂 that cashew butter sounds good & the best tip of all for me is cutting the potato’s with the apple slicer 👍🏼
for the softened butter just put the thing on a plate, heat up a bowl with hot water and pop it on top facing down the steamy bowl will soften the butter fast
Love the hack of making an impression in the dry ingredients with your measuring spoon, cup, etc. Such a great idea! I also want to try the sour cream in scrambled eggs! Sounds yummy!! Sharing these tips with my sister!! TFS!!❤️
I would have never thought about pressing the measuring spoon into the flour. Amazing!! I am also going to try avocado oil and the apple slicer for potatoes. Great ideas.
I am going to try that apple slicer trick for some homemade fries tonight! I was debating getting a fry cutter, but this will save me from more kitchen clutter. Also, entered!
Love all of these!! My herb hack doubles as pretty "plants" on my kitchen window sill. Take a drinking glass or a pretty mason jar, fill it with water, then put the herbs in. They stay fresh longer, are right near me while I'm cooking, so I'm more likely to use them, and they look great in my kitchen!
I was today old when my friend Brittany from RUclips told me about pressing a measuring spoon in what I was baking to avoid a sticky spoon mess . I always ran water on the spoon or sprayed it with Pam spray, worked great but yours tops that . I am grateful to enter your contest . Thanks for sharing ❤
My brother, got us a French Fry cutter from Amazon. We use it alot. I like the tips about the avocado 🥑 and dipping your spoon in for sticky ingredients. Thanks Brittany. I love these videos like this.

Making an indentation in dry ingredients to measure a sticky ingredient is genius! Thanks for teaching this older cook a new trick! Sharing this with my sis in Utah now😋
Thank you so much Brittney for doing all of the research so I don’t have to🥰 I love all of your videos🙌🏼 I’ve never been able to participate in your giveaways because I’m not on any social media outlets. The measuring spoon trick is genius! But I would say with the storge of herbs that I store them wrapped in dry paper towel not damp. The dry paper absorbs any moisture that develops in the container and the herbs last for many days in pristine condition.
Wow! I consider(ed) myself to be pretty savvy in the kitchen but so much of this was new to me! That measuring spoon trick? Genius!! And now I need to make cookies AND pancakes! 😱. Always! Always the best tips & tricks!!
