AGGH is good. I have a position in SVOL, and TLTW. The chart for TLTW made an observable Change in mid october, I am hopeful it will continue to remain stable. I also have some LQDW and PDI. So I'm thinking I have the Bond space covered. I have AGGH on watch if I suddenly feel a consuming need to get more conservative. it's good to see you. hope you are having good holidays.
Merry Christmas Dave and a happy new year to you and your family. Will take a look at this one. Sold off every thing before year end except SCHD, O and XOM. Bought 1000 shares of TLTW after they paid out a .77 divided lowering the price for us to get in. We will see how that goes over the next few weeks. Waiting with a pile of cash when the big one hits.
Thanks for the video! Always enjoy it :) ... one thing I noticed on the distributions is that last 4 months a substantial portion is ROC. No idea why only the last 4 months...
I can ask them about it. I know with HIGH they mentioned that they wanted to keep the distributions consistent and that it would hit the NAV at times. I will try and follow up!
Thanks! I am not complaining of ROC as some folks see this as bad sing going forward. As far as they keep on paying that amount in distributions its fine with me. I even like ROC in taxable acct.@@wealthadventures
This may be a novice question but is the fact that funds like these have less than a 5 year track record a concern? What I mean by the question is in terms of the risk of the fund collapsing somehow. If you hold a position then your investment is backed by the underlying securities. There is no way the price could go to zero if the underlying stocks, bonds etc. do not. Correct? Again I know it is a novice question but I am still a little behind the learning curve on ETF's.
I sell covered calls on a weekly basis in a stock that has an IV of about 30% and I get an anualised yield of 40% if the Call finishes out of the money and at about 80% annualised if the Call expires in the money and my shares get called away each week.
Thanks so much. Great video. You’re a great source of unbiased analysis. Please do more videos on your active “picks and pans”. Do you have a Patreon group I can join?
Great video. What are your thoughts when you compare Simplify ETFs: AGGH vs HIGH? (IMHO, seems that AGGH is more of a core bond holding type of position)
AGGH is a core bond ETF with some bells and whistles. I like it better for 2024 with interest rates expected to fall at some point. HIGH is a good fund as a cash alternative for those willing to take a bit more risk with their cash for a higher return. It is just short term treasuries and some options for additional income.
@@wealthadventures After reviewing my portfolio my broker’s representative, who is a fiduciary, suggested I invest in fixed income. I am 85 and retired 5 years and totally invested in the market. I was thinking that AGGH might be the way to take a small 5% of the portfolio and take his advice, which by the way was bonds, no surprise there!
Hi, thanks for your video. Im european, so because european legislation I can't buy directly US ETFs. You know when will be options available? Thanks a lot.
If the stock market tanked, would AGGH price increase or decrease? Trying to see if it would increase because bonds do better when the stock market is tanking.
It would be driven more by the fed and interest rates. Any bond fund that has duration exposure, will have interest rate sensitivity. If you look at TLT for example, as interest rates were increased, the long term bonds in that fund were less desirable. AGGH has shorter duration but it will still respond to interest rate changes. The fed is not supposed to make decisions based on the stock market but... if the stock market crashes, it would likely be due to recession. The FED would likely lower interest rates and you would likely see a modest increase in AGGH.
So monthly div is .20 which includes a Return of Cap of .15... Clearing .05/mo or .60/yr on 22.13 cost which is about a 2.7% return... What good is this dog???
@@wealthadventures Thanks for the reply, I was looking at what AGGH is holding and noticed they are holding mostly TIPS. Since inflation is shooting down right now and the Fed is actively trying to lower it, holding TIPS bonds to me is a really bad decision right now. I would never have purchased this if I knew this. Honestly, what are these guys thinking buying TIPS when the FED is actively trying to lower inflation. Lucky I only purchased very small amount of test shares, but I'm not buying anymore because inflation is tanking and truflation has us at 2.00% now. HIGH is holding 3 month T-bonds, that is similar to I believe SGOV. I will buy HIGH instead.
@@Fighter4Street Nice little rebound today. I will watch it but I do feel like the fund is in good hands. The fund manager does a lot of work to balance duration risk.
I think invescos PBP just changed strategy and is now similar. Pays monthly and reduced ER to .29. Divos company amplify also has HCOW and NDIV. Hcow is options and ndiv is high yield oil.

Too true.

AGGH is dope, but personally I prefer SVOL for higher yield because it already holds AGGH
👍SVOL has been a good performer this year.
Thanks for great info.added a couple of shares to get my feet wet today .I have almost every montly paying stock out there lol

What is your opinion of holding AGGH and SVOL? I'm sitting on 1000 shares of SVOL.
I personally think it is fine. If you own SVOL and add AGGH you are growing your bond position and likely reducing volatility overall.

The base of this ETF is bonds and bond funds. Quite safe. Same with an ETF that just owns stocks. They will not go to zero.

I prefer to get HIGH : ) Its more steady and less volatile during interest rate swings than AGG or AGGH.
👍AGGH will be more reactive. HIGH just needs to nail their options.
I have been looking for a fixed income high dividend investment. AGGH might be the answer!

I just have to wonder what this investment will do if the FED lowers interest rates?
My feeling is that it would be fine. Price may tick up a bit. Yield on bonds may drop with time so overall yield may fall... but not a significant %.

OMFL!!!! or AGGH!!! Need more exclamation etfs!!!!!
Lol! I will be sure to search them out.
@wealthadventures, 5+ months after cutting this video. Are you still feeling comfortable with AGGH? I am and am going to lean in a little harder.
Yes. I'm still holding the shares that I purchased. They dropped the distribution in April to about 8% and that seems to be a good spot at the moment.
Would you happen to know the reason why AGGH is tanking in the last week? Did they make a bad trade or are bond prices changing?
Bond rates have risen this week so that would impact the fund. For example TLT is down about 2% and this is down about 1.5% this past week.
