@@peterrosman7937 The Tom Bane Act is ONLY in Califormia as it is a California State Law. It would be wonderfulit it was enacted nation wide as it stream lines the process to sue for civil rights violations. It also includes provisions to sue police personally with no regard for qualified immunity.

I know if they do get some type of disturbance call or any other type of call they have to go out. It is their job. They don’t have a choice. In my experience, there’s good cops and bad cops.

@@sethc6663 A arrest warrant does not give the cops the right to enter your home. They also must have a search warrant to enter your home to look for that person. You have a right to refuse any cop into your home without the proper warrant. The last couple of things that you mentioned, if a cop is chasing someone and they entered a home . Then a cop can go into that home and get that person.

If the police have a warrant, they don't need you to be at the house. They don't need you to come out and talk to them. They don't need anything else, they have their warrant (arrest or search, it can make a difference) they don't need consent they can just enter. If they say they have a VALID warrant tell them to put it under the door, even if you aren't home. This chick already lied to you about cameras being an 'officer safety' issue, I wouldn't trust her if she said she was a cop, she had a gun, and the sky is blue.
