I completely understand your resentment about Spinosaurus. If the Spino fans wanna like Spinosaurus, that’s fine. But the issue with a lot of them is that they’re not very empathetic/sympathetic towards the Rex fans. They have to act like they’re better than the Rex fans. I was pretty upset about the fight because Jack Horner was saying how it was realistic, when there was nothing realistic about it!

The Jurassic Park Collection Somebody who gets it! I did learn to eventually have some respect for the actual Spinosaurus creature, but not the movie version. To prove that, I actually own an authentic Spinosaurus tooth. Although, the roar was pretty cool. The Spinosaurus played a huge factor into what killed the franchise. If you look at the scientific facts, Tyrannosaurus Rex would absolutely demolish the Spinosaurus in real-life.
I hate to break this to you, but Jack Horner knows waaaaay more about dinosaurs than you do, and with the current scientific data about Spinosaurus at the time JPIII was made, it was totally logical that any REAL paleontologist would state with reasonable authority that a far larger, heavier theropod which also has far larger and more powerful arms equipped with sharp claws would realistically have virtually every advantage in a fight against a smaller, lighter theropod with tiny, almost useless arms, and possibly more of a scavenger than a predator. Just because T-Rex is in more cartoons it does not mean it is a more dangerous or more formidable theropod than one a gull third heavier, and with quite huge and powerful arms. in a real fight, these things are very important. For example, in a ritual mating fight between two male Komodo dragons, (a reasonable, modern day substitute for now extinct theropod dinosaurs given their sharp claws and teeth), the one which is the heaviest and largest would most probably win the contest, and especially so if the smaller one had mutated, atrophied arms much smaller and weaker than the arms of the far larger Komodo Dragon (or theropod).
Dan Peterson He even admitted on camera that the T. Rex would win in real-life. It’s on RUclips. He may be a paleontologist, but the fight was unrealistic. Why? The T. Rex bit the Spinosaurus on its neck. It’s most vulnerable spot! Plus, T. Rex had a bite force of 8,000 pounds! Spinosaurus did not have a bite force of that significance. Spinosaurus did have a powerful bite for the fish it would eat, but eating fish is different than what T. Rex would eat. T. Rex was proven to have been both a scavenger and a predator. Just because Spinosaurus was bigger, doesn’t automatically make it better. It’s not the size, it’s what you do with it. I don’t know where you got that cartoon comparison. Because nobody here ever said because T. Rex was in more cartoons that it makes it better. T. Rex also had great eye sight and a great sense of smell that it could use to its advantage against the Spinosaurus. Spinosaurus does not have that advantage. The tiny arms of T. Rex are not as useless as you might think. The arms were able to bench press about 600 pounds. Doesn’t sounds so useless to me! Spinosaurus was a quadruped and it used its front claws to walk in an awkward position. So awkward, that it would make it hard for Spinosaurus to use against the T. Rex. Also, because of the bacteria in the mouth of a T. Rex from all the meat that it ate, you would get infected by its bite and would eventually die from all the poison. So either way, of you get bit by a T. Rex, you’re done for. You’d have to be extremely lucky to survive and I mean extremely lucky. T. Rex was also pretty smart for a dinosaur. Not as smart as humans of course, but still pretty smart. Brains over bronze.
I'm a Spino-fan, but I'm not like that kind, but I'll admit though, I may have a competetive attitude against other Rex fans, it's just because they think Rex is invincible and can one-shot a Brachiosaurus, but a Spino v Rex fight IMO would be a 50-50, so it's all good. right??
Why does EVERYTHING have to be Jurassic "World" now? I've asked myself this same damn question!!!.. Universal is even giving Jurassic Park the Ride a make over and it's going to be Jurassic WORLD the Ride. That just really doesn't sit well with me AT ALL. >=(
So sad she won’t be able to see the new movie, May she Rest In Peace.
The JurassicWorld Legacy Collection logo HAS TO BE World becuase Mattel has not the rights for JURASSIC PARK - ONLY JURASSIC *WORLD*!

Oh bleh, if there's really anything to be upset about these days it's that the main man from The Lost World JP novel, the Carnotauraus (sp?) did not get nearly enough screen time in Fallen Kingdom. So yeah, this toy rocks, I don't collect toys so much but this one is epic.

I completely understand about your resentment about my favorite dinosaur, but I just wanna say that even though I'm a Spino Fan, I still have Rex in a place in my heart for sure and I also want to say that it has been 17 yrs. already, so I hope you get to understand more and to put the fight in the past. I also recommend to place the tail in properly and avoid twisting it.
I don't hate the dino, nor the animal, I hate what the film makers tried to do with him because he was not acting like an animal in the film rather as a monster with thirst for human blood or something. That's my main issue with it

I've been looking for 2 months now for it. I've checked in Targets all over Colorado. Target can't even pull them up on the website or anything about them. I'm going crazy! I don't have $150 to spend on it on ebay

I think everything is called jurassic world is because its more reconizable for the modern crowd. Kids know Jurassic World and not Jurassic Park. You should not be so nit picky.

@@kiddkay4129 its a site called Marktplaats. But you must be able to read dutch to undestand it. If you can, that way you can get it really cheap. I bought it there for 12 dollars. Apperantly the dutch dont understand how rare it is.

I love this figure and I'm so glad you are back astrid! And I always enjoy these reviews,the spinosaur figure is just great I only wish the teeth you see from the front angle were shorter, and since they are as long as they are it looks sort of derpy,and I also am not to much of a fan of the color scheme and I wish the sail was longer
Yeap I noticed but didn't wanted to say too many negative things about the toy because I do actually think it's a really good toy! Just didn't wanted to sound bitter 😅
