HelloEla1 Molly did address this in the video, but he’s a Canadian dog, used to lots of ice and snow. Plus he was only on it for a minute or two, and his tail was wagging happily (which he does only when he’s very excited)! I think Gallop was fine!
That shade of purple is my favorite on her of all the colors she has done. The light shining on her from above enhanced her beautifully. Just gorgeous!
I love how Adam followed you with enough room you could move freely but as soon as you were getting close to running into the wall, he sped up and got in front of you and the sound of his skates let you know he was there and stopping you from crashing. Didn't make in issue of it or panic, he was just there to make sure you didn't get hurt. That was awesome.
I love how Adam looked out for Molly without having to say anything! He just moved in front of her when she got too close to the edge of the rink. Cuties!

As someone who taught special olympics figure skating for 4 years this video and Adam’s are like the best I genuinely don’t even know how to put it into words. It just brings back so many awesome memories. Also kind of loving the nickname for Montreal although I wish it wasn’t so accurate lol

I actually found this quite emotional to watch. one of the things i miss the most is the freedom to move unaided too. i use crutches and a chair. i miss running, dancing and skating. I'm so happy you got to do this and hope you get more time on the ice very soon. H was ever so good at letting you be free to, he was so calm and knew exactly when to intervene. amazing x

Totally get that feeling of freedom! I have said the same thing for years about being a severely visually impaired skier since I was five, also sailing in the open water. I think most people with significant vision loss ache to find ways to experience that freedom that most sighted people take for granted

Hi molly! I’ve been following you for a while now and loved watching your journey. I just started a new job for a big company in southern Ontario and I need to share this experience I had. I’ve watched you for so long and understand how hard it is to live as a blind person sometimes but I need to share this. I just met someone at my work who is completely blind and brings a guide dog to work everyday. He works in IT and has so much accessible tools available to him. It makes my heart so happy that this company chose to hire him over a sighted person even though providing tools for him would be expensive. Everyone is so kind to him and helpful but he is so independent. Just little things like the security guards saying to him on his way out to work “it’s raining outside frank, would you like me to grab you your umbrella”. Just courteous things like that that just makes me smile and think about you everyday. In a world where judgement and negativity is in the forefront I hope this little story makes you smile today :)

I just came back from Adams video and you are such a good skater I did skating for 8 years which is basically almost my whole life and you are so good my first time skating was so scary you did so well and I can see but still you did so much better then me you are also so brave
Watching Molly enjoy herself on the ice has me chocked up. She looks like she's having the time of her life, and she as looked like she was a little kid again! Molly you should definitely book an hour a month at the ice rink to skate by yourself (or with friends).
I love how much fun you were having on the ice!! And I understand now how being on the ice would give you a sense of freedom that you don't get to experience much elsewhere. I bet you could do really well on a figure skating team or group! Do you feel that same sense of freedom, without constraints while swimming? If anything, I often feel more limited while driving because you have to be careful and watch where you're going and what going on around you, and it always makes me a little anxious, unless I'm driving on a country road where there isn't too many other cars of course and i can just enjoy the view.
Two thoughts. 1. On the smell of an ice arena, that's a smell I haven't experienced in a while...but, will never forget. 2. I haven't skated in a little over...wait for it...29 years. There used to be a time when I couldn't get enough skating...whether it's hockey or just skating in circles. But then again, there also used to be a time where there was plenty of opportunity to skate outdoors in the winter. In the last decade-plus, not-so-much. I should really get some skates and see if I can't navigate a circle or two or ten. Oooh...time for a bonus third thought! 3. While it would fall into a similar vein as needing to have someone to run with, it dawned on me that inline skates could also give you a little bit of the same feeling as ice skating on an empty rink. A big old parking lot and a pair of inline skates and the rest is up to your imagination.
This was absolutely AMAZING! I hope you two had as much fun as it looked like you did & I hope you two made proper friends and go skate once in a while. *HUGS*
I gotta say I got a little emotional watching you just skate with abandon in all that free space. It had to feel amazing! I wonder if you talked to the local rink, they'd let you come skate for half an hr before the crowds come I bet sometimes.

Wyatt’s mom-I was real tears crying watching this because I haven’t been skating since I took Wyatt to Lakewood ice in 2014 for the first time. I miss skating so much. I skated 15 years from 86-99 and as an adult sparsely but taking Wyatt to Lakewood was the best day of my life 😁💜❄️⛸🥇
I'm in a wheelchair and I've been figure skating for many years. I perform at competitions so that I am able to show family and friends of individuals that have physical disabilities that you don't need to stand on two skates to enjoy ice skating.
Once again Molly blows my mind. Her comments about being free to move on the ice really got me. I never thought about how she never gets to just be moving free. Such a fun video and Gallop was great as always!

Most things that you do that not everyone thinks blind people can do, like putting on your own makeup, doesn’t surprise me. It makes sense. But the fact that you can skate did surprise me! I think it’s mostly because you’ve mentioned that dancing is difficult due to balance issues & I thought the same would apply to skating. It was super cool to find out that it wasn’t a problem for you!

Molly I suggest learning cursive! You did a video showing your drawing and hand writing skills and i think it would be cool if some one besides you taught you cursive. It is more about the feeling of the flow of the pencil so it wouldn't be hard to learn, you would just have to memorize the hand motion

Dogs mostly mind the salt on the streets or standing on ice for a longer time, running on ice is not a big deal.

You should try horse riding, I find it very freeing and if you find a good place the horse can help guide you!

Molly I suggest learning cursive! You did a video showing your drawing and hand writing skills and i think it would be cool if some one besides you taught you cursive. It is more about the feeling of the flow of the pencil so it wouldn't be hard to learn, you would just have to memorize the hand motion
