I grew up with Thrash of the mid to late 80’s, (Exodus, Laaz Rockit, Nuclear Assault, Slayer,) But until running across Powertrip, I had pretty much lost faith that any true Thrash was still being created. These guys do Thrash right!!
My favorite Power Trip memory was seeing these guys at some bar in Seattle. Riley says, "This next song is based off a Townes Van Zandt song, and it goes out to Merle Haggard, rest in peace" and went into this. I lost my mind as a country music fan. Rest in Power, Riley.
Unbelievable that Riley is gone. He was one of the key elements that made Power Trip one of the BEST new thrash metal band. Rest in peace to Riley Gale, strength and courage to his loved ones
Live Action Sonic I totally agree with you! Waiting Around to Die is everything I want in a Thrash song! Definitely my favorite on the album but Nightmare Logic isn’t far behind! These guys are amazing!

Power Trip compete as one of the best thrash bands of all time, and most probably are amongst the top 5 metal bands of the 21st century. I'm honoured to have seen them live before Riley's passing, the circle pit at the gig was fucking insane, just pure adrenaline, so thanks for the memories Power Trip and of course Rest In Power Riley Gale.
