I know all The T-Types, GN's & GNX's are all listed in a book revised by Buick. This book actually has everyone GM ever produced. I think this Burgandy T-Type may very well be the one my old school pal had for 6 months off his dad's car lot. The thing was crazy fast, especially when one "spools" the turbo to basically eliminate Turbo Lag. How nostalgic to think this very well could be the one! Another old friend still has an 86 T-Type that's 2 toned. Black on the top half of the body & gray starting under the door crease. Always very well taken care of. He's the 2nd & I'm sure he will be the last that will ever own this iconic piece of automotive history. When he purchased it from the original(METICULOUS) owner he received the Buick G.N.book to which I was referring to earlier. Even the book was in perfect condition! I found my other old friend's burgundy T-Type in there. I called him & he read off the V.I.N. & it was the car. I guess one must understand the unique & limited edition vehicles to comprehend that every one ever produced is recorded in this book. His dad eventually sold the burgundy one, why????? I have no earthly idea! Ignorance maybe? Lack of knowledge & understanding of a rare & unique car that is very limited & very documented. That thing was so clean & mint in 88 when some old friend's & my wild young self had access to it. We argued who's turn it was to drive it, hek we were 14 or 15. We took super good care of it that year & shared it among the 5 of us. No licenses so we were hiding it in garages & pole barns etc....LOL My other old pal has a decent collection of vehicles well maintained & stored properly. That 2 toned T-Type still looks exactly like the day he bought it, which was & still is showroom condition. It's a long story but I had to share it. I love those cars.
