Been following Chloe for a while now and absolutely adore her videos and I’m surprised about hearing about how much hate she got for her lay off videos. Chloe, I’m so glad you shared your perspective because the rest of us can look at you and think, I want what she has. But what we don’t realize is that the higher you soar, the more people want to make you fall. I’m so sorry that people you even trusted treated you this way. It also just goes to show how mistreated and trampled on Asian women can be. I really like what Eric said, about the audacity of putting ourselves out there as AAPI. I would love to hear more on your courage to do this, as I have actually just left my 15 year copywriting career to do more video, a dream I’ve had for 20 years with the goal of getting more stories like ours out there. As a Greek girl living in Greece I can´t say that I relate with a lot of the topics you talk about , however these episodes are soooooo entertaining. Both of you are so wholesome and interesting people. Also I watched the episodes kind of in an wrong order, so I recently watched the video, where chloe told the story of the roomate who made the comment about the 30 under 30 thing. When you said you were on it I audibly gasped!!!! That must have been one of those in your face life moments hahahahah .... anyway keep up the amazing content... we love it !!!

Luv Chloe’s videos since she did the “reveal her age”, really resonates …and a lot of other great contents that I enjoyed~learned from~❤the pod cast somehow made Chole ‘as a person’ pop out more like really seeing her from a friend’s perspective is kind of touching ☺️
I can totally relate to both of you! Chloe, I’ve faced criticism for being a job hopper too. It’s just that my ADHD makes me know right away when I’ve accomplished what I need to. I’ve also received awards or promotion offers before leaving a job, but I always turn them down. My parents were so stressed to the point now in my 30’s they have just stopped asking 😂😂 I also create large documents from my friends for almost any topic!

All of the talk about how you come from poverty essentially and you feel like you have to do extra well and stick with a job because of the stability is what i struggle with on a regular basis. Im not an asian american but i am an afro-latina american and the pressure to perform to even give my community a good look as well compared to what others think of us in the media is high as well. I am currently trying to cope with the idea that its okay to move on from a job or a position that no longer serves its purpose in my life and yes love to hear that sometimes a place is not a good fit for you both ways. ❤ great podcast!
Also people talking bad on others not knowing the situation and just talking bad in general is so cringe and gross and icky and im so sorry. It just feels better to lift each other up and would rather do that then kick someone down in a major event 😢

You guys really don’t have to take any piece of advise you’re asking for or that is trying to help you as hurtful. You actually would gain a lot out of understanding that a slice of viewers view things that way and realize most people aren’t coming against you. Getting feedback and input is good and healthy

I love this so much! I like the story of how you two became friends. I am at the point in myself social life and career where I want to expand my network and reach out to people who I think are cool and/or who I can learn from. My hope is that I can connect with others much in the same way you two described your dynamic. My hope is that the people I reach out to feel as if the dynamic I have with them is an exchange that we both can grow from, rather than one of us being the main benefactor. LOL what a great podcast, as usual Chloe is out here killin it. Learning youre a savage and saying like it is, is right within my wheel house of people I get along with. My girlfriend (we've been together for 8 years now) is an absolute savage when it comes to criticism she is definitely not afraid to speak her mind, and she cant hide her feelings on things her facial expressions give it away LOL. We are both in the tech space (shes a power house, I'm a UI/UX Designer & Senior Graphic Designer, and she's a Front End Developer & UI/UX Designer) and she is not afraid to critique my work, which helps me in becoming a better designer. I think our cultures really help as well I'm Mexican and shes Japanese so I have thick skin because my family is not afraid to speak their mind and shes not afraid to speak he truth, but she as an absolute sweet heart too. Its a bummer to see how people came after you and Eric for just speaking about your lives, but I'm glad we get to hear your thoughts and feelings on it all. Keep up the great work guys and maybe some day we will bump into each other or connect in the wild. Great work guys cant wait for more of these.

Chloe! I have a Kevin too. When I hit him with "what are you looking for" he literally said "idk, never thought about it" 😂. I'm his first gf too. He is an SE engineer as well. I LOVE his chill vibes! For sure the healthiest and most wholesome relationship ever. We're planning our wedding now ❤

I love this episode and I can't wait to listen to ALL of them! I'm trying to space it out so I have enough content to listen to x) but I love how you both made a podcast together and I love the concept (: I honestly want to do a podcast just talking to and introducing my friends cause I have so much interesting people in my life and I just love talking about life, so when I hear you guys talking about life and your experiences I love it so much!! The transparency, honesty, and vulnerability!! I also think being laid off from discord is a blessing in disguise cause we get this podcast (: Anyway, love it! Can't wait for more :D

I love this so much! I like the story of how you two became friends. I am at the point in myself social life and career where I want to expand my network and reach out to people who I think are cool and/or who I can learn from.
My hope is that I can connect with others much in the same way you two described your dynamic. My hope is that the people I reach out to feel as if the dynamic I have with them is an exchange that we both can grow from, rather than one of us being the main benefactor.
Anyway, I look forward to your future episodes!

LOL what a great podcast, as usual Chloe is out here killin it. Learning youre a savage and saying like it is, is right within my wheel house of people I get along with. My girlfriend (we've been together for 8 years now) is an absolute savage when it comes to criticism she is definitely not afraid to speak her mind, and she cant hide her feelings on things her facial expressions give it away LOL. We are both in the tech space (shes a power house, I'm a UI/UX Designer & Senior Graphic Designer, and she's a Front End Developer & UI/UX Designer) and she is not afraid to critique my work, which helps me in becoming a better designer. I think our cultures really help as well I'm Mexican and shes Japanese so I have thick skin because my family is not afraid to speak their mind and shes not afraid to speak he truth, but she as an absolute sweet heart too. Its a bummer to see how people came after you and Eric for just speaking about your lives, but I'm glad we get to hear your thoughts and feelings on it all. Keep up the great work guys and maybe some day we will bump into each other or connect in the wild. Great work guys cant wait for more of these.

oof yeah the hate was one of the most jolting parts about creating content about your life online. :< it's not fun and def had moments of breaking down, but am able to manage it a lot better now!
