    This guy has a lot of focus and passion. Props for that if nothing else.
    Admittedly, some of the flourishes are not necessarily going to be practical, but I don't think he claims they are. Most of this looks like it's for aesthetic presentation, and I think it's great.

    @lukie69: Actually it is, it just leans more towards the 'Arts" side rather than the "Martial." XMA is not for fighting, it is all technique and no emphasis on power.
    However, "toning it down" and returning to basics and reintroducing power to their moves, these guys are quite deadly.

    "You are confusing martial art. With martial sport. This is sport. Martial art is practiced as a means of warfare. This is gymnastics. When it comes down to it, if it is not PRACTICAL then its useless. This is pretty, done."
    I've studied Karate, and Jeet Kune Do, and to some degree Marine hand-to-hand. From what I've learned, that's exactly right. That's not to say this kind of "martial arts" isn't good for agility, but it isn't effective combat.

  • @assaprince

    As far as I know is XMA not a fighting style. It's more like acrobatics with martial art elements and it's simply for expressing oneself through movement, like dancing. With that said I want all the "I'd punch him in the face the moment he lands" guys to shut their mouths and enjoy the show. Thanky you.

  • @EDunbarS
    @EDunbarS 14 лет назад

    Not talking about the moves at all. I said return to basics, perhaps you don't know what that means? I was talking about the fighters themselves, and if you think you can hang with an extremely fast, agile, powerful fighter then you have never been in a real fight.

  • @MMAfighter1555

    It just looks like alot of flash, id just stand back, wait for him to land, and punch him in the face. I noticed they werent sparring.

  • @King_Herla
    @King_Herla 16 лет назад

    I don't want to sound rude, but if any of your kicks connected with someone, you would stop dead in your tracks and fall. There is no power behind your moves. It is just for show.

  • @Raptor03042
    @Raptor03042 15 лет назад

    Also, I have to say that throwing a sword around like that is just about the stupidest thing you could do with it. No offence, but this kid would get broken in a real fight with someone who knew what they were doing. However, he is a very talented gymnast.

    @dekar003 hope you really fight him only to realize in your hospital bed that a guy that trains XMA definitely knows how to fight. you think you can just enroll in a XMA dojang without any martial arts training prior to it? you'll have to have at least the basic skills to do that. a guy able to do XMA is much more agile and adroit than your empty pride

    Even toned down moves would not be effective in real combat! There is no question that it is skillful, artistic, and great for the movie cameras, but for real combat it could not go further!

    ya but teyobi ....(odd name lol^^) is right to a certain extent so are you, but it all depends, i mean the xma tricks, are somewhat practical in a fight,but it depends on what situation and if indeed you do or dont have power behind the kicks, so in the end.... i'm beginning to believe you already knew this -_-''' if you did, sorry, if you diddnt... then.. YAY I'M USEFUL

    @looneytune3562 Not really, if thats all you train for then obviously, but it can contribute to a martial artist's training, but I wouldnt recommend it given that you shouldn't waste energy and time in any fight, in that way you are right. lol

    @TheLibertard i like how people like you say "good for a demo only" when he's clearly doing...a...demo....lol. I highly doubt this guy would be stupid enough to try this stuff if he got into an actual fight. Infact hopefully he's well trained enough to know that he should avoid the damn fight in the first place. I'm sure if he had to fight he wouldn't be doing demo moves buddy -_-

  • @yom1983
    @yom1983 15 лет назад

    You really don't get it right? one thing is fighting skills and the other is show skills, but of course if any of this guy get into a fight they'd give a good fight. remember that they had trained a lot to beable to "jump around with a blade". But if you really want to see fighting skills watch the MMA, any of those guy would kick your beloved tony jaa's ass, and Im' not saying he doesn't know how to fight, he rocks and i love his movies, but it's all show, just like the guy from this video

    Dude, you are one of those annoying bastards that just won't stop spinning in a fight and are difficult to aim until you catch the right on their spinning tempo! :))
    Joking aside, great skills dude! I'd say that you're actually a bit better at swinging the sword than your feet. Great stuff!
