Excellent video, very insightful !
Excited for your review of the new percept. I am a big fan of control oriented 100sq raquets!
Here waiting for percept 100D! I appreciate very much your reviews, finally someone who explain also the directional control for every racquet! Thank you!👌🏻
Thanks!
Great Summary.. thanks
Thanks for the review. Interesting to hear your insights on the different rackets. I would be interested to see how to think the Tecnifiber rackets would compare with those in this list.
Great video! Think you're underestimating the Strike 100. How about a follow-up w/ Dunlop & Tecnifibre 100 rackets as well as Wilson Ultra & Prostaff?
Thank you for your reviews, I am missing some ProKennex like Ki Black Ace and Ki5 =)
What would you say if you compare it with pure drive 100 2021?
Where did you get the Head Speed MP black from? 😊
Hello , Im 17 years old and ive been playing tennis for the past 2 years on and off and my current racket is the Wilson Clash 108 V1 , Im looking to try out a new racket so i would love to know which racket would be a good option.
P.S at the moment my game sense is okay and im good with my spin serve and i prefer topsin shots with power but my control isnt too good
Thanks for your time and effort to put this extensive review together; it was a great watch. 👏🏻
As a Speed MP user, I was interested in your comments and comparison... and the new cosmetic!
Thanks! I plan to do a separate video on Speed MP vs Gravity MP. Stay tune!
@@tantennis Sounds good, looking forward to it.
I’m a doubles player & using Blade 100v8 with full bed Head Velocity MLT (48/45), stable, easy maneuver, good for volley, serve. You are correct that this Blade 100 are for flat hitters & not for spin. Thats the only downside that I feel most. But for doubles I feel this one is best for now (compared with my Head Prestige Auxetic, Head Speed Pro Auxetic, Yonex VCore Pro 95, Blade 104v8, Clash 100v2, Pure Aero 100- 2023, Yonex Vcore Pro 97L)
useful info, especially compared to your own range of racquets. Thanks.
What an amazing video!!!
The racquets I am concerned about (Pro Staff X, Speed Pro) are not mentioned in the video. I would like to ask you how would you recommend between the pro staff x, speed pro and speed mp and what are the advantages and disadvantages of each of these three racquets.
I really appreciate!
Thanks! I didn’t put PSX in here because it’s in a different weight class as I want to make this video about 100/300 tweener kinda thing. I have another separate video about 315g rackets in my channel. Pro staff X is a great racket if you can handle. The only downside I think it’s difficult to hit a 2HBH. Speed MP is maneuverable but sometime unpredictable. Speed Pro is more predictable but kinda low launch angle.
Very good reviews.Thanks.I had a lot of raquets and in 100 inch size frames i think that wilson kfactor cobra tour is a sleeper,if you can get one.
Thanks!
For future reference, I have to watch your videos with my volume turned all the way up to hear you speak clearly and I don’t have this problem with any other RUclips channels. Apart from that one issue keep up the good work.
Thanks for letting me know. Seems like there’s an issue with audio. Will work on that.
No idea how, his voice is incredibly loud and clear on my phone.
Amazing job!
Which of those do you think have the best depth control?
Pure Aero 2023, Ezone 100, and Blade 100
Thank you very much for the review.ขอบคุณมากครับพี่เป็นประโยชน์มากครับ
I am starting to have wrist pain on my OHBH using the Pure Drive Plus- I use Luxilon 4g soft at 48 lbs. Would you suggest I switch to Ezone 100 or Blade 100 v8?
Blade 100 would be a safer choice
On your above racquets does the Shift lab 300 comes in you suggestions?
Yes it could
How is the comfort of the 2023 Pure Aero? Got arm issues with the ezone 100 but no issues with the 2020 speed mp
Hard to say. I don’t have any problem with it but I think it’s not far from the Ezone. Really depends on string and person.
Wow..
What a cool color on the speed mp😮
Right! It’s the best pj of speed line EVER!!
@@tantennis is it the new blackout version that would goona go on sale this month?
Nice review! Im looking for spin and controllable power and lots of comfort because the pure aero 2023 hurts my wrist but i liked how it plays. Would you recommend the speed or the vcore to me?
Vcore is safe bet, but if you want more control, go for Speed MP 2024. Very plush.
thanks :)
Hi, I’m really enjoying and finding your videos really useful. I am currently playing with Pure Aero 2023 but I am interested in buying a second racquet cause I find the Pure Aero a little bit bulky on my one handed backhand. Do you agree? Which 100” rackets do you think are more fast through the air and maneuverable on the ohb? I am worried about picking 98” racquets that are less forgiving. Thanks for your attention! Waiting you advice :)
Thanks! Yes I do agree. Pure aero has such thick beam. I think Gravity MP and Blade 100 are to look at. Speed MP or Pro are also maneuverable.
@@tantennis thanks a lot for the answer! Really appreciate your advice 🙏🏻 among the 98” which one you find easier to swing and most forgiving?
@@tatovicxcii100 I think somewhere between Ezone 98 and Vcore 98 are pretty easy
The LE Speed is gorgeous!
Is this a new cosmetic?! Haven't seen it before..
@@hybrid11theory75 coming out for the US Open.
@@Mewborne89 Ah I see, Nite Editon Speed.. ;)
it's so much nicer than the standard black & white; I didn't want to buy another racquet BUT...
Hi, I used blade v6 16*19. But I realized that it's a little demanding. I'm looking for a 100 racquet with clear feedback, good forgiveness and some spin! I'm choosing between PD and Pro Staff X. Which one would you recommend? Or do you have a better suggestion? Like your video!! Come on!!
If you can handle 315g then go for PSX. If not then considering Speed MP and Gravity MP
@@tantennis I guess 315g is fine for me. What about Blade 100 v9? What kind of racket do you think it belongs? Compare PSX with Blade 100. Which one would you recommend? If possible, I want to know some difference between them. Because I really like the feedback of Blade 98!! Thank you so much in advance!!
Thank you for sharing krub.
Between Wilson Blade 98S v8 18*16 295g vs ps97l v14 which one has good control,power n precision? Very nice work 👍
Thanks! I never tried the Blade 98S yet
blade 98s (2015) has More power, very high launch angle, bigger sweetspot, worst control, and easier to use than pro staff 97.
One question if possible. I am writing to you from Armenia. I am 33 years old (58кг 166-168cm height). I have wanted to learn to play tennis for a long time. I found a coach for myself, and today was my 9th lesson. I was able to play with him 10 times already :DD
. I really like the videos on your channel, and I've learned a lot from watching them too. So here's my question... Could you recommend 1 specific tennis racquet that is suitable for a beginner player like me but also that it has really good quality? I can order it from the United States or Europe, so that's not a problem. Also, I believe a larger head size would be beneficial to easily hit the ball ( BUT IF THE TREND IS SHIFTING TO 98 HEAD SIZE, MAYBE BETTER ME TO START FROM THERE?) . Also what you think is it better for me to pick light weight version of a racquet or a standard one like 280gram or near 300?
Was thinking about these ones....
1 - Yonex VCORE "L"
2 - Yonex EZONE "L"
3 - Pure Drive "team"
4 - Pure Aero "team"
In Armenia there is only Babolat representative , so in case of Babolat i can go to their store and buy lets say even today. But in case of Yonex i would need to order from abroad. Although tbh i am more prone to yonex racquets, they look very innovative and interesting by their construction. I like the shape of Vcore 95 :D but i think it is too heavy for me + the sweet spot is too little for me for sure. So i think to buy a racquet of 100 sq. head size for the start (or maybe yonex 98 from the start)?? and then maybe in future when create some good technics for me i may shift to 98 head for instance. Just i don’t know to buy Ezone L or Vcore L…. would you give me any suggestion?
Thank you in advance, would highly appreciate if you respond in a little elaborated way ) thanks again
Hi. Thanks for your questions. First, if you think you will keep playing, just go for 290-300g weight, which is a standard male spec. 280g is easy at first but it will become unstable when you level up. I would recommend 100 sq.in. because it is more forgiving for beginner and intermediate. For 98, Vcore 98 is probably the easiest one, but still a lot harder to play with compared to 100 sq.in. rackets.
At beginner level, I don’t think it will make much of a difference in terms of how fast you learn. All have easy power and spin you can access effortlessly. Yonex Ezone and Vcore have unique muted feel. Some people like it, some people don’t (I don’t). Vcore is the softest on the list and most dampened. Babolat Pure Drive is the stiffest on the list, follow by Ezone not so far away.
If I have to pick one from the list, I would get Pure Aero 2023, because it is the racket that you buy and don’t ever have to change in the next 2-3 years, even when you level up to like 4.0+ you can still play with it just fine.
Can you tell me what FH grip you use and do you play with one or two handed backhand? And do you have full extended swing or compact swing?
@@tantennis thanks very very much. So i am playing tennis only for a month now)) tbh haven't hit any one handed backhand yet)) haven't learnt it yet) and don't know if i have full extended swing or compact , so i am super super new. Thats why i was thinking maybe to go for some light versions)) and then to develop from there (maybe adding weight on my racquet in future if i need , or changing the racquet.)) So if to pick babolat pure aero that might be easy for me, cause we have babolat store in here))
@@inv3st_eth839 a more important thing at beginner level is to put soft string in the racket. You can go with multifilament string or hybrid, do not go with full-bed polyester. In case you really want to go with full-bed polyester, strung it low tension like low 40s lbs.
yeah that one i have already learnt)) i will go for a polyester but with very low tension) so overall you recomment me babolat over yonex@@tantennis
Great line up and video, would you say the pure aero has more control than ezone 100?
Not by far but yes I believe so.
Between pure aero and speed mp n extreme tour which one would be more stable and precise with directional control for 2hbh?
I think Pure Aero is the most stable, extreme tour the least. Best direction control is Speed MP, follow by Pure Aero. The best spin is extreme tour follows by Pure Aero. Speed MP has lower spin than those 2.
How would you rate these 3 interms of precision? And between aero n speed mp which one is arm friendly?
@@srinivasan-cv6gl precision Speed MP > Pure aero. Arm friendly I think speed MP as well, but not by far.
Great Thx...
For intermediate topspin player, is ezone 100 or vcore 100 better?
I think both would work fine, Vcore a little more on the spin side vs. Ezone having a tad more control.
Just demo both at the same time and you should find your favourite. If not, then buy both.
Both works for topspin. Depends on what you want. If you like a soft/muted/forgiving feel then Vcore. If you like firm/responsive feel then Ezone. Worth to add that Vcore is more powerful than Ezone and a bit harder to control tho.
No ultra / burn or dunlop Fx500 ?
No have
did you try head speed pro ?
I did try it briefly, but I will get one next week or so
Hey, great video! How would you compare the Clash 100 V2 and the Gravity MP 2023?
I think Gravity MP is more control and underpower and predictable and probably just a bit more stable.
@@tantennis Thanks for the reply! Silly question: what is the difference between predictable and stable ?
@@alex13kouris Predictable is you know where the ball is going and it goes as plan. Stable is ability to handle heavy ball and racket face doesn't flip or twisted.
Is the ezone 98 or the ezone 100 better as the ezone 98 hit every single category in that video but the ezone 100 only hit one?
Ezone 100 is a power/spin racket that has better control compared to most 100s. Ezone 98 is control racket that has better power/spin compared to most 98s. Can’t say which one is better because I think it’s different and not fall in the same umbrella. Depends on players’ preferences. For me, of course I go for 98.
Thank you very much! Can you also pls give me the string recommendation for the best string for both the ezone 98 and the ezone 100 pls Thanks
@@user-uf3vk5gy7p safe bet I would go for tour bite soft 17 at mid 40 lbs. If you prefer soft and muted string to crispy string then probably go for poly tour pro or hyper G soft.
Great vidéo !!! Contrats 🎉!!!
Thanks!
You re welcome...But there is a little point that I could detail : I have 3 blade (98, 98s and 100). Thé 100 is largeur than the other two. Thé pattern in more open than on the 98. So people will find more spin, a little higher launch angle, power and so : easyness.
Plus : as it is 300g against 305, you have a little room to customize. My is 2g at 3hour, 2g at 9h and 2.5g in the handle. Result is more stable and give more forgiveness/spin than stock that was already more than the 98.
Si my advise : customise thé blade 100 to 305/306g and you ll have a beast way better, easier, spinnier than the regular 98. 😊👍
How had the ezone 100 landed so low in all categories ?
The list at the end is not a ranking. I just group it for summary.
@@tantennis how would you rank the ezone 100 overall ?
My most favorite rackets among all these tweeners are Babolat Pure Aero 2023 and Yonex Ezone 100. After that probably Head Speed MP.

I keep it on 300g weight class. Bringing PSX here will not make it an apple to apple comparison. I do have another video on 315g rackets.
Would love to see an updated aero 98, it’s got a lot of traction now aswell.. 😊
