    Jenny demonstrates how to make an adorable block that looks just like a colorful wrapped candy! This is a charm pack quilt, and Jenny used a Hopscotch Candy Necklace Charm Pack by Jamie Fingal for RJR Fabrics.
    BONUS: At the end of the tutorial, Jenny also makes this candy block into an adorable Halloween runner!

    Whenever I run short for a border, I only do the bottom and sides. The top will be the odd one out with a different or plain fabric strip since it will be under the pillows or folded back on a bed anyway.

    Jenny, you are awesome, tutorials are so easy to follow. However, your strings run me crazy!😁. Back in the day my Home Ec teacher was adamant that EVERY thread had to be clipped IMMEDIATELY or your grade would reflect it. My house flooded over 5months ago and everything in the house had to be packed away and I haven’t been able to sew. This didn’t keep me from ordering more daily deals though. Hopefully I can get everything organized and back to all my babies (machines) before long. Have to get the bowl cozies made for gifts. Thank you for all the wonderful tutorials.

    Love it, love it, love it. Started making a Halloween table runner but decided to increase the width by adding a border. I'm not sure I understand the candy ribbon instructions. Wouldn't you have to alternate how the half square triangles are put together? Are two sewn so they angle to the left, and the other two angle to the right? Again, love it and because of your clear instructions the blocks go together so easily. Thank you for all your tutorials.

  • @christaalbrecht67
    @christaalbrecht67 5 лет назад

    I have a quick question. When you go to sew the blocks together, won't you cut off a tad bit of the small points in the 1/4 inch seam for the blocks? In other words, will the tips of the wrapper squares be sewn off into the seams of the blocks? I hope this makes sense. I am a new quilter and am still learning, but this question occurred to me :) Overall, I LOVE this quilt idea and want to try it myself. I just ordered the Kaffe Fassett fabric that's on sale today and I think it would look adorable if made into this quilt.

  • @johannaduck7264
    @johannaduck7264 5 лет назад

    (From Brazil) Awesome!!! Looking to the pattern, I´m thinking about "snowball" the "candytails" in a background square... It would require more pre-planning about the distribution of the colors, but less sewing... The block would be a four patch with one backgrouded snowballed square of the candycolor, at the right and the botton a background square, and the opposite corner a candycolor snowballed background square... I hope that makes sense to you???

    You need:
    For example.....
    10 7" inch squares
    20 triangle squares
    50 rectangles
    20 2"squares
    Etc......
    That would help beginners to get started easier. Thank you!!
