I was looking for a solution to double triggering issues I have on my ekit's pad and ended up going down a rabbit hole of these pedal mounted triggers. I am seriously such a noob when it comes to this stuff so excuse me if these questions sound really stupid lol. But does it matter which face the trigger is on the foam (meaning like heads or tails on a coin)? And is that a thin piece of foam you used on top of the trigger piece for protection?
Also it's been a few weeks since you uploaded this, how are they holding up? Thanks!

      Hey what's up man!
They're still holding up, I probably put about an hour and a half each day on them and there still triggering well. I'm not touring with them or anything crazy.
From a triggering perspective, It doesn't matter which side of the piezo faces up, as long as you protect the white ceramic part (it's covered and protected in the pintech version I used).
And yes the thin black piece of foam is just extra protection so I'm not hitting the plastic trigger directly.
I'm playing with a couple more designs as well, I'll have a video up probably in the next week or so.
Let me know how your build goes!

Hi, I want to convert my acoustic drum kit, I saw your video and I have some questions. Can I use any piezoeletric transducer and it should still good working? What type of drums do you have. Do you converted acoustic drums? If so, what type of triggers do you use? I want to buy some piezoeletric transducers and try to make my own triggers, but i don't know abou the differences between piezoeletric transducers and if there are what should I do? I'm waiting for the next part of video and Thanks!

      Hi there!
Yeah any of piezo should work, bigger ones may be slightly more sensitive, I use 20mm. This kit is a donner acrylic kit, but I also have a jobeky custom electronic kit - those are converted acoustic drums. Most triggers are built the same or similar, but you can easily make your own (piezo, foam and an angle bracket), tons of videos on RUclips that can walk you through the process. Ill try do a quick video of how I do it next.

Hey! I live in China, and you can buy EVERYTHING here, but not this type of contact pedal triggers. Thanks a lot for your video! I've ordered materials to make it myself.

@@ArgonautDrums Hey, i did it, it works way too good, it should be illegal! I got the biggest amount of views ever in my life for this haha, thanks a lot to you!

Does it works with those piezoelectric microphones for acoustic guitars?
