Today’s video is a request on from a subscriber on “How To Tie The Perfect Man Bun”.
You probably think tieing a man bun up is really simple but for those who take pride in their man buns, here’s how it should be done (in my opinion.)
I know you guys love it when I bring you hair tutorials to the table and to be honest I’m pretty low on ideas right now, so if any of you have some cool hair style suggestions you’ like me to try out, shoot me a comment below and we’ll get it happening.
I’ve had a topknot/Manbun for about 2 years now and am still not sick of it lol, one day it might come off but not yet.
Common Question Of The Week :
A common question I always get asked is, “how long does your hair have to be to get a topknot?” and my answer would have to be about 6 inches (if you want it to look good). You could probs get away with 5 inches but it will look a little weird haha.

This is literally just what I needed, I've been keeping my hair as a tail for probably over 9 months now and my hair has gotten really long over the course, and I was looking for a new way to tie my hair and this is perfect!
This is by far one of the best Man Bun I've ever seen!
I cant tell you how many hair vids ive watched in the past 2 months. I'm trying to grow out a top knot for the 800 hundredth time and I have about 3 inches right now but its SOOOO hard not to cut it. I feel like im fighting a losing battle, ty for the motivation.

A good 6 months after my big cut I decided to grow this style I was sad that I didn't donate my hair but maybe next time when I do eventually grow it all back out

I got to the right length for this hairstyle then went to high school and they told me me to get my hair cut or I'll get excluded , so pissed off and I still don't understand how having long hair effects my learning

I have a disconnected hair cut, my hair is about 6 inches long. I want the v in the back though, how do i go about growing it? Do I trim the top or what should I do ??
If you want the shape he has in the back, you'll have to ask your barber for an undercut. That's when they shave the back/underside part of your hair really short but leave the top long. You can have them cut it into any shape you want, so if you want a 'V' shape, just tell them that and possibly even show them an example.
Of course if your hair is only 6 inches long right now, you'll probably have to grow it out a bit longer to get a full top knot. 8 or 9 inches was usually the minimum in my experience for a good looking top knot.

My hair is around the same length as yours is on the top, but all the way around. The hair on the sides of my head is a little bit shorter than on top of my head so it doesn't reach the back very well but this helped me find a good way to do my hair. Thanks man
