    Finally found a video which discusses about the khilaf/differences in view instead of just covering one side of the discussion. Alhamdulillah, clear and supported by evidence. Jazakumullahu khayran katseera.

    I've been searching this for a while, and alhamdulilah, I have finally found a well-rounded answer.
    Also, on another note, I would like to add my personal advice with regards to this issue. I believe that one must also look at the individual woman and her nature. If she is immature and would probably not be able to handle travelling alone/staying alone, then her parents, husband, etc, should really train her a bit, e.g. take her a bank/train station, tell her what to do, and do whatever it is, so that she can observe what she has to do in the right way. Girls/women should be taught how to do these things, e.g. hire a taxi, withdraw money, go grocery shopping, paying bills, etc. I know that for some, this seems like funny advice, but some women really don't have experience in doing these things, and one of them is me. I want my parents to teach me these things so that I don't become like a lost puppy.
    Girls should not only be educated academically, but also practically.

      Look for references.
      Even with reference we still have to look them up.

    Why should it not be safe for women ? If this world is not safe then also men can not travel alone because is not safe.

    Salam.
    Can anybody name a place in the world Where women are safeguarded nowadays?
    Is there any country, city, town, locality etc. around the globe that can be compared with that time of Khalifa Umar (R) or Alkhulafa Arrashedun?
    Our concern cannot be what the scholars said. Our plain concern is What the Prophet MOHAMMAD (pbuh) has said. He ordered women believing in Allah and Akhirah in general, clear-cut without any exception to NOT travel without a Husband or a Muhram.
    Muslim Sisters now decision is yours.

    Assalamu aliakum
    I strongly believe in doing istakharra for everything, there's no one to guide you better than Allah .
    Remember the istakharra dua says Allah if it is right for me for my religion then bring it towards me if it is not right for me my religion then take it away from me.

    O believers! Obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you. Should you disagree on anything, then refer it to Allah and His Messenger, if you ˹truly˺ believe in Allah and the Last Day. This is the best and fairest resolution. (4:59) (Clear Qur'an Translation)
    Muslim (1339) narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “It is not permissible for a woman who believes in Allaah and the Last Day to travel the distance of one day, except with a mahram.”
    Have Fear of Allah in Making Halal what is Clearly Haraam.

    hello my father does not want me to travel with my sister.Can you please elaborate how to explain his extremist views ??

    • @Zazezoo
      @Zazezoo 5 лет назад

      It's not an extremists view, you just lack knowledge about islam. Your sister is not your guardian, if you are female, you can only travel with a mahrem, a male family member such as; brother, uncle , Granpa, dad...not female family members. Unless you are a male then that's a different story. Ask your dad to explain or the local imam, knowledgeable person, etc not everything that goes against our whims and desires is extremists, sometimes it's our ignorance that lets us down.

      Just for arguments sake,
      Regarding context, how will women measure this? How will they know how many days etc
      I cannot find the correct reference but which companion wanted to go for war/ jihad but advised by the prophet s.a.w to accompany his wife for hajj instead? Why did the prophet not say let her travel alone etc
      Anyway, I'll find the right hadeeths in sha Allah

      This is coming from a westerner just so you know...
      Just looking at your picture on your profile lol. I can see you just use the words of the terrorists showing falsehood on tv. Do your research and you shall know why he is asking you to not travel alone without a family man. As someone born and raised in the western world, I have personally seen Muslim and non Muslim women approached by men and even women these days. You may say no 1,000,000 times but that one time when you say yes and it leads to someone saying and showing whatever they need to just to get in your pants and converse with you in a haram manner. All those 1,000,000 times you said no, now they mean nothing. I have witnessed women being impregnated like this and whole lives ruined. If you're not impregnated then you'll think oh no harm is done and you'll tell your daughters it's ok and they will be impregnated with a bastard. Chances are you'll tell your sons it's okay to ask women out and speak to women without and they'll be the one impregnating "innocent" women. You see, people only think one step ahead when you should be thinking a million years ahead for all of humanity and not just your self.

    This is a painful topic to watch but do understand you are trying to quote directions from 1400 years ago when life was different. We/men have adopted life by using cars and not camels, use electricity and not dress like at the time of prophet so all directions about women should change. We still live in year one of Islam and time of prophet when it comes to controlling women.

      Fear Allah .
      In Islam We are advised to lower our gaze and wear hijab, nothing to do with trusting ourselves. You can not change Allah's law to suit your whims and desires. Keep this to yourselves, you will be questioned about this should any Muslimah follow you out of ignorance

    • @Zazezoo
      @Zazezoo 5 лет назад +1

      @Osama Khalid
      Do Muslims not follow the Qur'an and Sunnah or just Qur'an alone? Will you find every single detail in the Qur'an ?
      Does the Qur'an teach you how to pray 5x a day or did we not learn this from our prophet Muhammad S.a.w? How much have we learnt from our prophet and not written in details in the Qur'an?
      If you listened to the video properly where hadeeths have been quoted / scholarly explanations, so upto you to do as you please.
      To those who believe it's another safety,
      In this islamophobic nation we live in, how safe is a Muslimah even going to a corner shop alone? Let alone travel? So how do you measure safety etc ?

      Fatuma Yusuf what does lowering your gaze and wearing hijab have anything to do with travelling alone? do you even try to use your brain Allah (swt) has blessed you with? every comment of yours makes you seem very arrogant like you think you know better than everyone else, you do know that’s very sinful right? try to humble yourself and learn to be open minded because you seem to be living in your own little bubble
