Have you had any probs with these since you made this video? Thinking about getting one of these as a back up. I daily drive a 71 super using one of the short style distributors for 68 with a 30 pict 2 carb, single port 1600
I put a Kuhltek distributor in my '66 a few months ago and I must say it looks awesome and runs very well. Even the packaging was really nice when I got it in the mail. I did have trouble with the rubber o-ring on the shaft being too fat - exchanged it with another one I had laying around. Can you do a similar review on carburetor alternatives ?
Hi Chris nice vid on these distributors. Got a question what would you choose to run on a 40hp, 6volt. What type of distributor. My 28pict is done and probably going with a 30 pict carb for replacement thanks for any info on this.
Hi Chris! I am trying to get the distributor out of the engine to clean it because it is rusted but it is stuck. I loose the nut that holds it to the block, put the rotor pointing to cylinder 1 but it won't come out. Any tips? Thank you!
I just purchased this brand Kuhltek's engine heads as mine were damaged and would pop out the plug. Basically; lowest price and closest to original specs. I guess Kuhltek tries to keep old original looks and specs
Hallo Chris! Can you help me please? Where can I find a flat top distributor cap (like on 25hp engine) for an ordinary vacuum advance distributor from 1971. onwards Does it exist? Or, (option 2), can I install a 25hp engine distributor (with vacuum advance) on my 1.2 engine from 1971. and put a flat top cap on it? I just like to see a flat distributor cap and i want it !!! Do you have any experience with that? Thank you in advance!
Buy/use the real 010/019 German made Bosch distributor. It will be cheaper in the long run.
CIP1 says it’s curved the same as an 009. This dist is just for looks? Looks great!!
pretty much yeah.

So far only one was defective.
Is there a possibility in the future that you could talk about type 3'S?
Great video, What the model of Exhaust and did you use Pertronix and what you think about them. Thank you
Abarth muffler, from Wolfsburgwest.com Petronix is fine, as long as you are running 12v.
@@classicvwbugs Thank you

I like either the kuhltek I show in the video or a bosch 019 dizzy.
Opinion on running a Kuhltek on a 1776 dp with center mount dual carbs? Really like the look.
hmmm, could work, not sure how it would work with those carbs. I never run dual carbs really.
Feliz natal é um próspero ano novo.
Great tip!

Could you do a video on how to install a canceling turn signal ring?

Either points or electronic ignition.

Those caps are only meant to go on a 383 distributor, they will not fit a 70s model. Nor do you want to put that distributor into a later motor.
The condenser is out side of the distributor
The U has an umlaut, it's pronounced Cooltech, means ' cold ' in German.
Do you recommend a 019 dist for my 1967 1500 motor???
019
Chris Vallone thank you! Much appreciated
I'm using one On my DP WITH 30/31PIC
