    I was thrilled with your number #1 , as that is the one on your list that I have camped at!
    Turquoise lake has a great little hike around the lake; Leadville is also my favorite town for authentic “old mining town” charm! It’s not very “touristy”. The Matchless Mine is a great little visit & the history around that mine is super interesting! The old Opera House is worth a look too! Especially if you sing! The acoustics are phenomenal! We couldn’t help but jump up on stage & sing !
    We also hiked to the summit of Mosquito Pass , the air gets thin as you get above timberline, but the VIEWS are stoic!! We actually got caught in a snow squall up there & it was in June! Always wise to be prepared for changing weather & be mindful of lightening! The whole area has remnants of the silver mining era, very historic and neat. Summer is the best time to go; unless you like brutal cold & deep snow!

      @NewstateNomads  2 года назад

      We couldn't agree more! Leadville is incredible (we DID return for winter camping this year, love the area) and worth a visit anytime. We look fondly on our summer in Colorado back in 2020 as some of the best camping we've ever experienced consecutively. 👍 -Howard

    Great video, been here in Colorado for 68 years, been camping, backpacking and skiing with my parents since I was literally in diapers. Prior to breaking camp they always made us kids walk the area picking up everyone else's trash, even cigarette butts. That's how I learned to leave it better than I found it. BTW- can't help but think your requirements might include Starlink and a cheap VOIP box. With work requirements it removes all your boundaries and allows for some interesting exploring. Take care.

    Excellent video, thank you for the time and effort you clearly you put into these. We're about to take the Class B+/C leap, so a rather subjective question I guess, but regarding a towed vehicle, how important do you think is it for non full time RVers? Let's say, trips of 2 weeks or less?

    • @NewstateNomads
      @NewstateNomads  3 года назад +1

      Thanks so much, Matthew! Its a great question about tow vehicles, and honestly depends on your style of travel, speed you move, etc. We tend to setup in one spot for at least a few days to explore when we aren't working. Tow vehicles help us stay setup and still have the freedom to drive into town for supplies or check out the area. We tried not towing for the first 6 months, and found us renting cars all the time. Your results may certainly be different depending on your needs and style!

    Hi you guys I'm Jennifer and I absolutely love Colorado want to live there but it's. A little too expensive for me so I'll stay home and just visit but I have a pleasure way camper and I went to red feathers lake Colorado. It's near Fort Collins check this place out. It's absolutely beautiful. There's like 18 different lakes and plenty of little trails that you can walk along the lakes. There's plenty of areas to live and it's small where there's maybe 2000 to 3000 people that live there and you wouldn't even. Know it they have a few grocery stores and some little mom and pop shops but it's very beautiful and the people there are very friendly it's just a. Lovely place I wouldn't mind even living there. It's affordable too but anyways. I wish I had a partner that could go with me. And do the exact same things that you can do. I love traveling and sooner or later hopefully. I will be living in Colorado and explore. Colorado I have been to red feathers lakes Fort callen's Estes Rocky Mountain national grand National Park Glenwood Springs Twin Lakes independent pass. Aspen Been to cottonwood cottonwood To Crestview area absolutely beautiful I've been to tell you ride. Silverton Durango Di a short 6 day horseback ride in Durango. That's what made me want to live out here. I've done some dude ranches. Very fun but I absolutely wish I could live in Colorado. Oh I'm sorry I also did Colorado Springs gardens of the gods Royal gorge. I can't even tell you how much I've did but I still have to explore more of Colorado. That's the fun part of it. I just love to explore these beautiful States and see how much is out there. I should just do it by myself and just go but I'm very loyal and. I do have a boyfriend of 5 years and it is very very expensive. I would blow my money that I have to live off of in 2 seconds. I think but I love it. It's my heart and you guys are so so blessed to be able to do all this and have your partner with you. I'm still waiting on that 50 years old. I got at least 2 or 3 more years so hopefully. We'll be able to go if not. I'm going but enjoy love you guys thanks for showing all your adventures. I dream and live through it and learn from it and hope to be in it and maybe hope to meet you guys someday I'll be awesome. All right guys be safe have fun and keep posting keep traveling love you guys. Colorado take me home.

      Hi Ross! Yes, we do. We used to tow a Hyundai Santa Fe Sport on a tow dolly then we bought at '97 Honda CR-V to flat tow. We found tha having a tow vehicle is best for our style of travel, but our rig is small enough, we could get around in that just fine too! -Katelyn

      @@NewstateNomads well I'm on disability so anything that even is a couple dollars a month would put me close to breaking. That's why I'm trying to figure out what to do with my house so I don't get penalized cuz if I sell it it's income if I rent it it's income and I can't just let it sit here because I would need the money to travel. So I don't know oh, that's why I kind of stay in the New Mexico Arizona Wyoming South Dakota Colorado area.
