Thanks for posting these videos, very informative. I noticed when I installed most of the kit in my PCR in DA when I slowing pull the trigger, there’s a very light click with very small resistance before it swings into the DA pull and action. I’m wondering if the decocker lever needs to be filed very slightly to eliminate this. Although I’ll probably wait bc I still need to install the hammer and lifter but have pretty much the rest of the full kit for the PCR installed.
I just did some work on the sear catch of the hammer on my SP-01 Competition, it's doing the exact same thing. I pulled the disconnector out and am running it in single action. I prefer SAO anyways, I just need to get the flat trigger. It would be kind of nice to know what needs to be done to fix it though, I don't think it's quite the same as what he shows here.
@@TheExplosiveGuy mine ended up being the trigger bar spring. Once Cajun parts are installed you’ll need to adjust the DA side which is the right side of the pistol (ejection port side) (double check I could be mistaken which side does what) and SA slightly not as much on the left side of the pistol. My disco dropped in with no fitting required which is kinda good and bad; I wanted to file to fit but it saved me taking the decocker sear cage apart 3-4 more times. All in all I love this pistol and will never sale it. I stoned and polished everything my self and tuned it - my 10x bushing is on the way. I got the DA down 5 pounds 6 ozs and the SA is currently 2 pounds 4 ozs. When I do my 10X bushing I plan to cerakote so while I have everything apart will install the heavy lifter spring and that will really help the SA, it’ll increase SA pull 3-6 ozs but will create a firm wall and still have a light pull.
@@ryanp6072 I went ahead and did the full SAO conversion already so it's not an issue anymore but if I ever do go back to DA/SA I'll keep that in mind, thanks for the tip.
I have the similar problem with my shadow2, but the behavior is just opposite to what is shown in the video. If I pull the trigger gently, it works fine, but if I try to jerk it off, it falls to halfcock. And I'm afraid that in my case the trigger bar is pushed too late, and the fix that you suggest may make it even worse. Could you advise?
Hi Thomas, I installed the pro package from CGW everything installed fine but I do have a malfunction that comes in once I safety check on trigger release the hammer will get stuck. The gun will fire without any malfunction on regular trigger pull and release but the hammer will only get stuck during a safety release check. Any ideas? Thank You.
How much training does a new employee have to go through before they are trusted to take on a full workload, or would you say you were already proficient as a condition of employment? How old were you when you started working on guns? I enjoy taking then apart but I am definitely not good at fixing or diagnosing issues like this.
Most people have taken about a year to a point where they can send out guns without having them inspected by another gunsmith. The learning doesn't ender there though. We all constantly learn from each other. So I don't know if we ever feel like we have mastered anything. None of us were gunsmiths before coming here. We all have mechanical backgrounds though. We are working on a comprehensive support center that will enable a lot more people to diagnose and repair issues with their CZs.
@@cajungunworks526 Thanks for the reply I agree in any field if you think you know everything then you're just a hard head! I'm hoping the hurricane doesn't get y'all too bad I know it looked pretty nasty coming in. Have a good one.
My name is Thomas. I handle all the videos and comments on our RUclips channel. We are a relatively small shop so we work on guns and edit our own videos.
I have been gunsmithing for 21 years and these used to be nightmares to work on. until now... thank you sir

Did you purchase the organizer that holds your tools and supplier or custom make it?
I made it. I have to admit there are perks to having a CNC mill at your disposal.

What is the first name and last name initial of the person on this video? I want him to work on the next P-01 I send to CGW.
