Happy Holidays everybody! I hope you like my take on a vintage holiday puzzle 😅 Santa Puzzles and I both hope you all are able to stay in and do lots of puzzles over Christmas! 🎄
Fascinating puzzles, Karen. And an interesting company you've unearthed. If anyone complains about you cheating on these puzzles, just tell them it's no use crying over "Spilt Milk"! By the way; Happy CHRISTMAS, and Happy Birthday for the 31st!
I love that you try and research the background of puzzles and the companies behind them - makes me really enjoy your content even more. Merry Christmas puzzling!
Dear Santa, Karen is definitely on the nice list this year. Her cheery spirit has kept all of us happy these past 2 'interesting' years. Please bring her lots of puzzles. And Merry Christmas to all!
I feel the need to say that watching you do puzzles is like my prime comfort content. I struggle a lot with mental health issues, and i've found that hobbies are pretty vital to me enjoying and wanting to be alive. So seeing someone so passionate about their hobby just makes me really happy. I recently got myself two whole puzzles for Christmas as a gift inspired by you and this channel, and i'm really looking forward to actually starting them. Thank you for giving me another reason to enjoy life!
Oh my gosh! My parents tried the Spilt Milk puzzle a couple of times when I was a kid. They never could finish it, but we always kept it in the closet with the other puzzles… So glad to see what it looks like all put together! I never had the guts to try it 🤣
I am STRUGGLING with an all-black section of a puzzle I’m doing now, so I’m hoping I can get some tips from this! Found your channel today looking for hints, so I feel like the timing of this video is perfect! Love every video I’ve seen so far!
Happy Christmas, Karen! I'd just like to take this opportunity to thank you for reigniting my love of jigsaws over the last few years. My mum, who I have mentioned in comments here previously, passed away just over a month ago, and I have taken on her entire puzzle collection. If I was still only doing two or three a year, as I did for many years, I probably would have let them go, along with all the wonderful memories they've bought back already, just from looking at the boxes. So, thank you again, so much, 💞 Happy puzzling 🧩
Btw, the food theme reminds me of a Japanese 3D puzzle series, the TOYO glass puzzles. Basically, it's a company that produces drinking glass, and they make tricky plastic pieces that when put together correctly, will look like whiskey, a whole orange, peanuts etc. that fill up the glass perfectly (of course, the point is that it's tricky to fit everything in the cup). The puzzle comes with a real usable drinking glass, and a bag of puzzle pieces. I'm not sure, but appearantly they (or another company?) sell cheaper versions with transparent plastic cups instead.
I want to say thank you. Because of you, I’ve gone back to doing physical puzzles (not just the ones on the jigsaw app on my iPad) and my eyes are very grateful. You’ve introduced me to companies and artists that I never would’ve tried before (I ❤️ Galison puzzles). And this year, I’ve started doing 1000+ piece puzzles - oh my! Merry Christmas! 🎄🎁
OMG. Thank you, Karen, for this little slice of nostalgia. This is the most memorable puzzle from my childhood, and one of my most favorite. It definitely took me much longer than two days. Placing that last piece was such a sense of accomplishment. Loved it!
I have a “dream” puzzle in mind but like Karen, I have less room, and could do it on foam board, but the amount of them I have done, have probably equaled the size of that puzzle
I’m doing the red paint can one right now and having the worst time with it. It’s nice to see someone else working through the same thing. I started it a month ago and have had to take so many breaks.
these look so much fun! I wonder if there's a "cookies" puzzle you can leave out next Christmas alongside the milk puzzle... speaking of Christmas and puzzles, I got my mom an M.C. Escher puzzle as a Christmas gift, it's currently sitting under our tree and I'm really excited for when she unpacks it
Merry Christmas, Karen! Your enthusiasm is infectious! Because of you I’ve ended up asking mostly for jigsaw puzzles and accessories as my gifts this year. 😁
"If you think that's cheating...I don't care" lol I laughed way too hard at that. I'm still trying to finish the solid black puzzle my boyfriend gave me for my birthday last March, so I'm totally amazed at how quickly you did the first one! I don't think it's cheating at all... call it checking your work 😆
I bought the split milk puzzle in the 80’s for my grandfather as a Christmas gift. He sent me a picture once it was complete. I have inherited it and was just thinking of sending it to my sister who has really started enjoying puzzles.
I used to do puzzles as a kid / young teen, and since finding your channel and watching your videos a few months ago I've been wanting to get back into it! So I'm getting myself a puzzle for christmas!! Happy Holidays to whoever reads this c:
Love these! I bought a 5 Surprise Mini Brands Puzzle Surprise at Wal-Mart. Each ball holds a 200 pc mini surprise puzzle - our first one was Ranch Dressing. My daughter and I had so much fun putting it together we just bought 5 more. We opened the 2nd and it is Jell-O. Obviously not vintage, but if just looking for a fun small quirky puzzle, they are so cute!!
I've just finished clearing the card table to bring out the vintage CHRISTMAS puzzles. They weren't vintage when I bought them, but trust me - they are vintage now!!!
I was given two puzzles with the same cut about a month ago. I finished the first one, which looked like the easier of the two, then started to work on the second one on top of the first. My husband says he doesn't understand how I can do one picture puzzle on top of another, but it does make it easier knowing which shape piece I'm looking for.
Just discovered your channel and have been watching a lot of your videos. I'm inspired to do a puzzle this Christmas! Thank you! P.S. Like you, I LOVE the campy aspect of these Synergistic puzzles. How creative and fun!
Im so jealous of all the puzzles you can get your hands on! Especially the smaller puzzle companies, they have such nice variety but getting them to Europe is a nightmare 😭
@@Skittl1321 well let us at least have that 😅 but probably they will open it up to other markets aswell. I got the puzzle as soon as I can. It was a fun experience but would have been nice if the colours were a bit more vibrant 😊
Great video , as always. I like when you do the older puzzles and give us details about the company. I hope you and your sister can do some videos together at Christmas break again .
Merry Christmas, Karen! That was the least satisfying puzzle rub of all time, but I loved the collection of weird puzzles from this company! Camp, indeed!
I’m currently doing Christmas themed puzzles! Love this video and particularly all the information about the puzzle company. I really appreciate the thoughtfulness that goes into your videos.
Someone got creative with their marketing of a single cut puzzle!!! It still amazes me when you do these solid-colored piece puzzles, I have no idea how you have the patience for them. Your code word should have been insanity, but the one you chose is timelier. I do prefer the Chocolate milk one, but my favorite packaging is the paint can! I also love the back story of these older puzzles. Be safe and enjoy some low-key puzzling with the fam.
Karen, I found another SUPER ORIGINAL puzzle that you need to get and make a video on!!! It's call the WORLDS SMALLEST Jigsaw Puzzle by TDC games. It's 204 pieces and it includes TWEEZERS! It measures 4x6" when it's put together! Please do this one! I want to see the tiny tiny pieces!
This is an awesome piece of art! It’s a physical metaphor! When you run your hands across, the pieces break up and move so easily. Just like how it would be if it were liquid. So cool 😎
I'm so glad your back. I been waiting to see your next one. Lovely background by the way. I've been puzzling alot lately and it's been so fun to get back into.
if I had to thank 2021, I would thank for finding you! you have set free a hidden love I didn't know I have for puzzles, you and your channel are truly amazing! Happy Holidays Karen ❤
YAY! Another video is out! Everytime I see the notification I get excited. This time I get to wake up to a notification! Solid color puzzles are hard but this puzzle looks like a lot of fun
Just wanted to say a quick thanks for your advent puzzle idea!! My little bro and I had been very slowly working on a 1000 piece gradient Areaware puzzle for months and now are almost done!!!
Karen great video. I love Christmas Time and getting to spend the holidays with families. I would love to hear more about the history of this company. That is so cool to see these rare puzzles done once again. Hopefully you get your hands on the yellow and red paint ones.
I love that you put the whole milk one on top of the chocolate one! When you did the time laps it looked like it was snowing, as the white gradually took over the brown. ❤
Karen, I thought of you the other day working on a puzzle with my son. I just grabbed a small one from dollar tree and I was surprised at how challenging it was! It was oval and had really unique piece shapes. Could be a fun video for you to see how many $1 puzzles you can do in 1 hour!
I love irregular shaped puzzles! It's what makes wooden puzzles my favorite because they almost all have them. Especially when 2 pieces come together to make another shape. I am totally with you about when a puzzle doesn't fit together in large sections. I hate when it moves that much! You just tap it and it jostles out of shape. It's just poor puzzle planning on the maker's part. I hope you have a great Christmas! Love your ending! lol! :)
Merry Christmas, Karen! I have some puzzles from a brand called Another View from 1977 that have similarly cut pieces, but the puzzles are both rectangular and have pictures on them so it's a bit easier to figure out where the really oddly shaped ones go. Good job on these puzzles and the research. Looking forward to more interesting videos in the new year!

🎄Merry Christmas 🎄

love herrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
“its Christmas!just let me have it”
Since the piece shapes are all the same I would love to see the pieces all mixed together in a rainbow spill. DIY gradient puzzle, sort of.
So part chocolate milk, and part regular white milk? That would be really cool to see.
She can make a cow print puzzle!
Fascinating puzzles, Karen. And an interesting company you've unearthed. If anyone complains about you cheating on these puzzles, just tell them it's no use crying over "Spilt Milk"! By the way; Happy CHRISTMAS, and Happy Birthday for the 31st!
My dad watched me do a puzzle and whenever I looked at the photo on the box he said I was cheating. I'm not confident enough to not look yet.

The fact that a Chocolate Milk themed puzzle is rare. I would think the Plain Milk one would be harder to get.
