    I visited here about 13 years ago! Genuinely one of the happiest memories I have of our family travels. That little village is just stunning too. I think we went into every little shop, museum and factory available. I remember a Beatrix potter exhibition and a chord/twine factory, and of course this creamery!
    Always loved going on local holidays and walking around the Dales, or rural Ireland rather than going away to hot countries. Something so magical about finding little treasures just a little way from home! 😊

    Such a great place for cheese lovers. I think we bought the shop out after tasting so many different ones when we visited last year

    As my Yorkshire nanna said, she lived Wensleydale cheese 🧀 “An apple 🍏 without the cheese, is like a lass without a squeeze. “

    Always enjoy your walks; as I must walk through others since 2003 when I had extensive spine surgery. Now I have life; with severe nerve damage and take long walks vicariously. Pick me up for another journey in the near future. Another great video!

    I enjoyed that, although it did leave me craving a nice chunk of a really strong cheddar, pickled onions, and crusty bread, washed down with a glass of stout!
    Whenever my hubby and I visit a farmer's market or food festival, we always head for the cheese stalls, and come away with loads of different cheeses! Like you and Jenny, I don't eat meat, but I could never be a vegan, because I love dairy products so much, especially cheese. It's a staple part of my diet.
    The creamery looks like a nice place to work, with that view all around (plus the staff discount!). They had to have Wallace and Gromit there!

    Cheers, very interesting place to visit Bob. It's ironic Nic Park creator of Wallace & Gromit is a Lancashire lad😊 Of course there's only one cheese "Cheshire" Britains oldest cheese recorded by the Romans & favourite of Elizabeth I. I'm biased of course👍

      Of course, there's Lancashire Cheese, first made in the 13th Century.

    Of course they have Wallace And Gromit. The series saved the creamery from bankruptcy in 1995!

    I'm a musician for Leeds Morris Men, and as part of our annual Yorkshire Dales Tour on the second May bank holiday weekend, we will be performing, as we have done for a number of years, at the Wensleydale Creamery on the Monday afternoon. This is always a highlight for our guests. Glad you had a grand day out too. As an aside, I notice from a previous video that you have put up your drive-away awning. Now that you've used it a few times, what are your impressions as far as ease of pitching and functionality are concerned?

    • @BobEarnshawMoHo
      @BobEarnshawMoHo  5 лет назад

      Thanks, the Drive Away has been great this holiday, it went up very easily It's a good size for four people and we've been very impressed with the flexibility of the panels, windows and the side peices, which we've used as doors. We've had it with the back panel zipped up when it's been cooler and the windows panels open when it's been warm. If I remember I'll try and do a little video review after using it for a while.

    The only thing that could have improved it, would have been for Bob and Jennie (hope I got that right) to have sampled the cheese and beer. I'm sure Gromit would've approved.
