Forever Winter is such a heartbreaking song, for something set to a poppy, fun beat. There's an urgency and desperation in her voice that's gut-wrenching to listen to and I personally think that it's her best vault track (other than ATW(10MV) and Better Man)
Apparently forever winter is about her younger brother and his mental health struggles

"cus in this cities barren cold i still remember the first fall of snow and how it glistened as it fell, I remember it all too well" is my favourite part in the newly added lyrics. The change in melody is beautiful and the lyrics are so heartbreakingly meloncholic it gives me goosebumps and makes me well up everytime.
Yessss it's just gives that point of lingering in the song....
Honestly everything past “and i was never good at telling jokes…” are my favourite bits.
My favorite new lyrics are the second bridge... from "All's well that ends well" to "Turning 21". In that round of lyrics you get nonstop Jake dissing...

I was so suprised that it had such and upbeat production. But I think it kinda matches the feeling. It's not sad as much as it anxious and loving and wanting to help them so for me it makes sense why it sounds like this.

your facial expressions during forever winter is me. it sounds like a bop but the lyrics are some of her saddest. its about her high school best friend Jeff lang who committed suicide. "too young to know it gets better", "I didn't know you were breaking down", "if I was standing there in your apartment, I'd take the bomb in your head and disarm it". depression is considered as "the long winter" and she's saying it would be a forever winter if he ever left and that she would be his summer sun forever and always be there for him.

i head that forever winter can be about a Taylor's friend that died... it makes sense to me because the song doesn't fit exactly in any part of her relationship with J.G, and there are some elements in the song (wasted, checking up him, you're breaking down,...) that fits well in the story about taylor's friend...
