Before anyone gets too nervous about visiting amusement parks because of these detailed stories, keep in mind that you're alot more likely to be hurt or killed in your car on the way to the amusement park. If someone were to post a detailed story about every car accident that occurred over the years in which someone was badly injured or killed, it would be a hell of alot more stories than you can find about amusement park accidents. Yet I'm sure we're all going to still go out and drive our cars again today or very soon.

Seriously folks. If you look at statistics, you're more likely to die right now in your home from a home accident, fire, domestic incident, etc than you are to ever be seriously hurt or killed on an amusement park ride.
You should have let everyone know that Aspro parks didn’t own Oakwood when that poor girl lost her life, you make it sound like the current owners have a long string of accidents before the investigation has been completed. The park was sold by the previous owners to Aspro after they were prosecuted. The latest incident is regrettable and awful for the people involved but the investigation find the truth. You read and amalgamated every news report out there but forgot to mention that Aspro parks bought the park after the death and both accidents were not their fault.
i wish there was a theme park called “its a good day to die world” and have really rickety roller coasters and other dangerous attractions. you’d have to sign a waiver.
@Reuben_Rides_Rollercoasters not everything about a coaster is it about being intense, not many coasters are out amongst the trees like that, which is cool in itself
They literally said the carriage they were in started detaching and the passengers were holding on to it trying to keep the young girl that was still in the carriage from falling out. You made up a scenario just so you could victim blame, how sad.
I'm pretty sure that is the third accident at Oakwood that I know of, but one of them as far as I know wasn't in the papers because it happened just days after the smiler accident however I might have the wrong themepark!!!
Before you start to hate oakwood and never go to it again. I have been to oakwood 2 times this year and one of them was last week. Don't worry the rides are completely safe now

I went back there in 2017 for nostalgia purposes and couldn't believe how shabby and worn the park looked. Just hasn't evolved at all and how it remains open is beyond me.

This comment confuses me. The park is younger than most and speed has not had any problems at all in its lifetime. It has had a bad history, and the investigation may show that they need to change their operations. We will see

This park has some really good rides but sadly it's pretty neglected and run down :(
But it is still amazing and the run down feel makes spooky street even better

I went on treetops with my cousin over the summer trust me it's a lot faster and the turns are sharper then they look

Oakwood needs to shut down. It’s too old and some rides (like speed) is not finished at all.

@@CiarasoupI’ve been there about 6 times and rode speed every time, I think the longest I’ve ever queued is about 15mins, maybe I’m just lucky lol!
Theme park to avoid.
Hell to the naw! Riding through the tree tops is pretty but too far up off the ground for me. People are trying to be to freaking fancy.
