For all those who are thinking why the plane is preparing for landing : The North Sentinel island is located 50 km west of the Andaman Island which is fully inhabited and has an International Airport.

Imagine if earth was like north sentinel island. There are alien civilizations far more advanced but they know we’re still “prehistoric” and are trying to preserve us
I think it's comforting knowing that at least the Sentinelese are mostly uncontacted, and living the way people did before civilization. They're unfortunately going to be affected by civilization when sea level rise gets bad, if the Indian Government is able to keep the missionaries at bay for that long. The people who want to convert them make me sick.
@@RsRj-qd2cg I don't know why the missionaries are trying to spread the word of Jesus with the tip of their tongues, as if the Sentinelese don't already believe in the almighty Boeing 747 that flies past every so often as their sacred entity. Bruh, imagine these people finally advance to the level we're on today, and they discover that we already left a long time ago to go colonize the Andromeda Galaxy.
They can't, they're so isolated that they don't have enough resources to develop their society further. The best they could do is start building boats and venturing closer to mainland. For people wondering what if aircraft has to make an emergency landing ? North Sentinel is JUST one island in the Andaman & Nicobar island group...and Indian Navy has it's base , people like us live on other islands , tourists go their , seaports are their and the nearest airport is very close !
Yes we know, but there is still a very very small change some day a plane won't make it the last 50km so it might have to land on sentinel island or atleast close to it. Some boats have been stranded there as well. So why can't a plane? You just need a very bad storm and very very bad luck. And looking at 2021 2022 bad luck is very common 🤣🤣
@@Rickertik010 Any sort of descent a plane might have would make it almost impossible to make a crash landing there, unless it was a complete nosedive. Even then, no survivors. And on the off-chance they have to make a landing, I guarantee you the pilot is putting that down in the water as close to another island as possible.
@@wiskyr6510 are you dumb? Planes can land in the water if they really really need to. If they run out of fuel you think they just keep flying like magic carpet? Ever heard of gravity bro?
@@wiskyr6510 Precisely. It'd be easier (albeit still incredibly dangerous) and more realistic to make a controlled crash landing into the sea. There's a reason that the pre-flight safety demonstrations are about the plane landing on water not landing on a random desert island.
But the island isn't different from other islands. I'm pretty sure that all the plant and animal species are the same. If we go by your logic, there could be new species in other undiscovered parts of the world. But yeah the probability isn't zero so you're right I guess.
Wow the captain announcing to the crew to get ready for landing at the end reinforces that North Sentinel really isn’t so far away from modern civilisation.

@@deeznuts4777 'make it a destination place'. Are you out of your mind? This Island is not a plain piece of real estate. It's home to the native tribals. Indian anthropologists had tried establishing contact with them, but the Sentinelese reacted very aggresively. It was a simple and clear message from their side that they want to be left alone, hence after a few unsuccessful attempts(including Nat Geo crew) India decided to ban any form of travel, including researcher teams to the Island. It's under the protection of India and whoever tries to go there will get jailed. They propably have a very bad image of outsider humans, as British Colonialists had twice landed on the Island. They did a little massacre, kidnapped 2 grandparents and a kid to 'study them'. However both the elderly adults soon caught diseases because they didn't have immunity to foreign diseases because of their isloation, and the kid(who survived) was sent to the Island. The tribals would have ofc considered this as an evil action.

In the year 1981, a mysterious man landed on the shores of Sentinel Island. He was a bearded man whom the Sentinelese first greeted with distrust, then fell at his feet and began to almost worship him. 200 actually. Honestly I would of seen what the island had. They could do a lot out of it just standing there and has the most turquoise waters, especially with a billion peopIe. There have been major earthquakes and floods prone because the region has the lowest waters. It’s only because of its philosophies and seeing them as humans.

They can't, they're so isolated that they don't have enough resources to develop their society further. The best they could do is start building boats and venturing closer to mainland.
India should free this island from them and make it a destination place
