This could explain why Light and Dark resemble him so closely. However, what Light said at 6:40, "This kid... might be a real monster," combined with the concerned look on his face and his earlier comment to Delta, "You're the first in 500 years to land a Hyper Crit," really got me thinking. In other anime, franchises, and video games, I've seen a parallel story. Five centuries ago, another Special Grade Sorcerer was able to wield the Black Light power as easily as Delta can. Unfortunately, this sorcerer likely experienced a catastrophic event, such as the death of his parents or the destruction of his village. Since this energy is fueled by both good and bad emotions, he succumbed to sadness and anger, embracing his darker side and going on a killing spree in an act of revenge. These actions ultimately transformed him both in appearance and behavior, resulting in him killing hundreds, if not thousands, of innocent people-essentially becoming the monster he aimed to destroy. Light fears that the same fate may await Delta and isn't willing to tell him...yet. Of course, that's only a theory and can be proven fact until more content is dropped.
