- 2024 Hyundai Alcazar has seen several improvements over its previous model as it gets tons of new features and a new design language. Whether you should buy its 4+2, 5+2 or Creta, we share our opinion in our first drive video. The model we tested gets a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, GDI turbocharged engine that also does its duty in the Creta.
Disclaimer - The model we tested was given to us by Hyundai India during its media drive in Udaipur.
What would you pick - Alcazar 6 seater, 7 seater or Creta?

Creta makes much more sense under 20 lacs, Alcazar only makes sense if you get the rear ventilated seats version
Creta is costly, but Alcazar is value for money with extra space at almost same price. Feels more luxurious than Creta.
Not almost same price.. you will have 2 lacs difference if taking that in gurgaon… which is a big difference.. infact if u add 2 more lac then u get xuv 700 ax7 L…

Very well explained, I own the old 2.0 alcazar, 6 seater, the space inside was very well explained, seating three tall passengers behind each other is possible but requires bit adjustment, which is still better than cars like xuv700 which has fixed seats, car has been reliable ample powerful and feels premium, no regrets.
10:28....A minor correction... Tata's upcoming 1.5L turbo GDI engine is also a 4 cylinder engine....

I was eagerly waiting for this type of video. Everyone just talk about features and exterior which we can easily get from online but getting understanding of comfort is nowhere.

Alcazar 6 seater is meant for 4 adults and 1 or 2 kids. That's what most families need in real life. Husband wife taking fromt 2 seats, 2 parents taking middle two rows. 1 or 2 kids taking last row which is perfect for kids.
It's a perfect budget car for a family if only Hyundai gets a good safety rating

Third row is not that useful,
I would most certainly go for the 5+2 version
They should have given wireless charging on off button at the back many wont want their phone to heat up which wireless charging does often. Koreans missed this point.

Hyundai COO rightly pointed that.. it's just an another variant of Creta... It's a choice for Creta buyers who needed an occasional 7 seater for a competitive price to creta...
For better third row space... Hyundai s Stargazer is on d way... Wait brothers..

Thanks for a reliable review. How is the drivability feel + power in comparision to the N-Line Creta given the difference in tuning, suspension, and weight?
Alcazar is not a proper 6/7 seater SUV. Third row is very tight and strictly for kids. I think this is not a practical 6/7 seater SUV. In my opinion buy either 5 seater creta or go for 7 seater Innova.

I think if Hyundai brings a proper 7/8 seater like Palisade to India, it can take on Toyota. Palisade will sell like hot cakes in India.

Xl6 has lot better space than this 👌👌 personnel experience..
6 people can sit very comfortably without any compromise.. No issue which ever height u r..

Carens is way more spacious than this. Probably a better choice for people looking for 6 seater or 5+2
Creta is a better option. Creta S(O) IVT petrol is priced around Rs 18-18.50 lakh depending on the state. Alcazar with captain seat is a little more expensive and is Rs 5-6 lakh more expensive than the SO version. Spending Rs 24-25 lakh on Alcazar is not Intelligence.

4 Cylinder is best. 3-cylinder NVH has more and less engine life as well
6:10 sab sunroof sunroof kar rahe hai par diesel mai to reading lamp bhi nahi aate 😅 uspe bhi to dhyan do koi
Bhai honestly diesel dekha hi nahi, na launch pe tha na drive pe. brochure mein hi dikha hai abhi tak.

I checked the car. There is lot of space issues in every aspect.
First few minutes reminded me of Andaz Apna Apna movie scene “Uncle yaha ajaye, to mai chalunga kaise” 😂

What about NIGHT DRIVE? Alcazar is known for its poor lights in the old version.
With the newer lighting setup, that shouldn’t be a problem. But I still not to keep it for long to answer that better.

Carens offers a more spacious third row.

Aage 6 ft vala bethe to fir second raw onwards space ka issue hoga, aur third seat to samaan ya bachche ke liye hi bachti.

@@ads7506 it all depends on which phase of life you are in. I have twins , aged 6 yrs, so for me it works. But after 7-8 yrs I will not buy vehicle like Alcazar. Will go for vehicle bigger

If you want a 5-seater, Creta is a great option. Par agar lagta hai ki Creta is too common (which it is), the Alcazar bhi le sakte ho

Haven’t heard any issues lately especially after they made some changes to its tuning which was causing the heat.
I am owner of pre facelift , dct is performing well in Bengaluru traffic. Also part of alcazar group, where genuine owners are there. Last 1 yr, heard 2-3 cases of overheating message but car never stopped. Reason was 1 hr drive for 2km
The the DCT transmission is very smooth and power is just awesome
