P.S. I love this series with different creatives so much. There are so many great ideas and tools shared, I find myself taking notes, thinking about my own tools, adding items to my Yoseka wishlist. 😄 Thank you to all the creatives you've interviewed for their generosity. 🙏 (Daisy, I love how you instinctively start helping Lian tidy up ~23:18. ☺️)
These videos of artists showing their work and tools are one of my favorites from Yoseka ❤ Hope you can do more of these in the future. Thank you always for chill, quality videos! (Also, I don’t know if you’ve considered this, but it’d be great if these were also available as podcasts)
That was such a happy, adorable video! Lian is so talented! It was so cute when she was like, "Yoseka is very dangerous for me", and I was like, "Yes! Yes! Me, too!" Lian's journals and planners were so beautiful, too! Art is a wonderful talent to have! I enjoyed watching Daisy channeling the inner voice of every stationary addict watching the video: e.g. "Hey, did you know that Platinum recently came out with something called Chou Kuro?", "How often do you have to clean out the pens?", and also, "Oh my God, I can't believe that you can just do that, Lian! That's a dragon, it's so cute!" Her timing was uncanny! Every time "inner me" was about to chime in, Daisy was the stationer's voice! Thanks for making this video, guys!
Lian Cho has such a great personality and I fell in love with her watching this. And she is an author!! YaY!! Daisy, I love you too, you have always cracked me up!! Yoseka guys do the best videos. Thank you!!
This was so fun to watch! Lian seems so sweet 🥹 10/10 agree on MD paper white being not as fountain pen friendly as the MD paper cream. For some reason, ink does tend to bleed on the white 🥲
Great interview Daisy. What a talented person Lian is. An inspiration to us all. Loved hearing both of you talk all things pen, paper and ink plus so much more. Thanks for such great videos. Phil
Chiming in ... waterbrush pens. Once I figured out a technique for them (and realize they are best for working small), they are indispensable. I go through tons of the Pentel Aquash. I still need a "real" brush in final layers of a watercolor sketch, but I can lay in a lot of washes with the waterbrushes in a pocket sketchbook. I appreciated that sketchbook walkthrough. I have been trying to draw more and more on the go, especially with travel ... I got lots of good ideas!
I use the platinum carbon black as well in my platinum preppy EF nib And sailor fude. I dont use them both every day and actually was just reminded that i havent used my fude for 4 months. It has dried out completely but i just rinsed it now with a bulb syringe and refilled it with carbon black again and is flowing perfectly. There is residue that has stick to the converter so wouldnt feel comfortable refilling it woth another color ink but refilling with carbon black is fine. This isnt the first time ive let it dry out completely and it seems to always clean out way easier than expected.
This was such a great interview! Very entertaining and inspiring! Love Lian’s art! And oh my goodness I also bought the Pilot Falcon in college because of Mattias Adolfsson 😂
Omg, just discovered this episode. Mattias Adolfsson is the reason I only draw with ink too! ❤❤ I discovered him a few months ago, I wish I’d been a more headstrong 10 year old 😂

I love Lian! This was such a lovely interview. I enjoyed it from start to finish. And I too would like a sticker sheet of Liam’s pigs❤️!
Your videos make my heart happy! Now let me watch this one!❤
Loved this conversation, thank you so much Daisy and Lian! Lian, your sketches are so charming and beautiful. ❤
I'm a huge fan of the Pentel eraser! I have a stash of refills, and I have one in every pen/pencil case I use. :)
Just ordered her book! Love her illustrations! Thank you for having her on as a guest! 💕
She is so amazingly talented. I have the same fomo from my cousin this year.
This was so fun to watch! Waiting for those stickers now, Lian! It would be great if you carried them at Yoseka! 😅
This was so awesome! TFS Lian & Daisy. I too suffer from a pen addict but w/stationery also 😳

What artist does she mention that uses the pilot falcon
Mattias Adolfsson
What was the name of the mechanical pen
Maybe the cousin in A5 size would work for you!
Anyone here know any info about Lian's di-cut washi tape?
