Hi, thank you for sharing the Hobonichi highlight video! I actually went to Hobonichi Official Store in Tokyo yesterday, and it was so thrilling to see all the stuff they showcased. I personally love Yumi Katagishi and Hiroko Kubota techos, and their related stationery goods. It’s quite interesting to hear other’s opinions on which one is the best, what they are gonna get, and things like that. We count the hours. Happy Hobonichi Day everyone 🎉

I'm brand new to the Hobonichi world, planning on getting my first journal from them for 2024! But I'm actually traveling to Tokyo at the end of September. I'm hoping I can just get all my Hobonichi goods directly from their Tokyo store instead of pre-ordering, but I'm finding it difficult to figure out what is available. Is the store you went to called Tobichi?

@@ligli500 Hi, new Hobonichi friend! I'm so glad to hear that you're gonna come visit Japan this month!! Must be so excited. Yes, the store I mentioned is TOBICHI Tokyo. I think you are so lucky enough to get some of the stationery stuff in Japan because lots of new techos are available from Sep., and the exchange rate is pretty good for travelers. Regarding the Hobonichi goods in stock, I'm not quite sure, but the staff at Tobichi are happy to let you know the latest situation if you call them asking whether or not the items that you want are available. If you have any further questions, you can give me a comment on my youtube channel :) Hope it helps!

Bow and Tie does a zodiac year weeks every year and I love it!! The mythology behind the seahorse is that all dragons start off as seahorses and only some ascend to become a dragon. I was born in the year of the Fire Dragon, so I'm definitely getting one in weeks for memory keeping. Or maybe a Hon...Oh dear...I just put together my list to order. Oy. I'm in trouble!! This year has beautiful art and that's just my Hobonichi wants. I still have my Midori and TN lists to put together.

From my understanding, it’s a Christian thing (on the seventh day after creating the world, God rested, which can either be taken to be Day 7 of Creation or the first day the world existed). I’m from Germany and I know the official first day of the week there/here used to be Sunday until 1970. Since then, Sunday start anything is not in use anymore. It’s been over 50 years; I am less than 50 years old, so of course I’m Team Monday start all the way. Sunday start monthly calendars are a source of confusion to me.

Sunday start is based on the Bible and the day people go to church being most important. Learned this in a worlds religions course at university. Whereas the Monday start is the beginning of the work/school week. I have been using a Monday start since 1992, Sunday starts now drive me nuts,

I'm sorry to be that guy, but Sunday starts on a calendar was totally unheard of to me before I started watching American planner content on RUclips, it's absolutely not a "Western thing".
And, totally irrelevant to the point I was making, my personal subjective opinion is that a Sunday start is absolutely ridiculous and stupid! 😅
It cuts off the weekend in half, since the workweek generally starts Monday it's much more logical to have your calendar do the same, and it's also weird to me that it originated from Christian countries since Sunday literally is the last day of the week in the Bible (even though we're secularised our calendar is still very much based upon Christianity).
I get that if you've grown up with a Sunday start it's easier for you since you're used to it, but much like the way Americans weigh and measure it's dumb and makes zero sense to hold on to 🤣🫢
