Love love all of your Hobonichi content this year! Btw, I’m going to get the Original Techo and I wanted to share a couple more differences between the Techo Planner and the Original: along with the smaller grid, the colored index, and cover - it has a more detailed 24-hour timetable on the left side, the “secret line” that runs vertical, and also a to-do list with 5 checkboxes on top of every page - which I personally love because it helps me organize my days and tasks more! I’ve been using the japanese version instead of the english arts&science planner because those little variations make a big difference in my planning. Just wanted to share incase others like that structure, too! ☺️
Love Ashley’s explanation of EST/EDT. Fun fact: I live in Arizona, and we’re always in MST, which is Mountain Standard Time. This aligns with Denver, Albuquerque, SLC during standard time and Pacific time during Daylight Savings. It’s actually a pain and I have to set up my Outlook meetings in a different time zone to prevent time shifts. So twice per year my schedule completely changes.
What a crazy day trip! SF was my first pen show, too, and I only had Saturday so I missed you. I think if I went back next year, I would try be there all three days (my poor wallet 😅).
So sad I missed your visit to SF Pen Show! Please return next year and maybe set up a table or a meet up? I would totally go! Yoseka was also represented at the ink testing stations this year as there was one tester for Yoseka x Ink Institute Ming Kong Que Blue!!
It was so lovely finally coming to the store and meeting you Daisy!!! It was such a welcoming and comforting aura and my friends loved mentioning how nice it smelled 😂❤ I'm so glad Ashley has such a good time in SF! And I'm SUPER excited for new Hobonichi 🎉 and yes!!! I'm absolutely loving my new gold nib, it's a whole new world 🥹

Standard time vs. daylight saving time is confusing! It's the opposite of what you'd expect, because it seems like you'd need "daylight saving" in the winter, because the days are shorter. But it's actually in the spring, and standard time is in the winter. Just remember this: we "spring forward into daylight saving time" in March, when we set our clocks forward an hour. Then we "fall back into standard time" in November, when we set our clocks back an hour.
I've lived in this timezone for most of my life, and I never knew that difference! wow learnings! 🤯 and ps - seeing you guys and Goulet Pens' Drew meet in SF was crazy collision I wasn't expecting! haha.
I wish that if you have to talk about flying, then you’d talk about flying in a way that recognises that we are in the middle of an environmental crisis ❤️🌏
Can't tell you how jealous I am that you got to have some In-N-Out Burgers and fries while you were at the SF Pen Show. It would almost be worth it to me to fly out there just to have lunch and dinner there. Love to have one of their chocolate milks shakes. Did you have one? Phil

I had a couple of teachers who would organise a "movie hour" if we were well-behaved or the was a cultural interest in the movie. And a couple others that would do that but with books. But I agree with you, watching movie in primary isn't common. Lots of love! 😊❤

Thank you so much for sharing about the Simple Comparison Chart. I will send any friends to that chart when they ask questions about the different planners. It seems that Hobonichi either made a mistake on it, though, or I am missing something. If you check under the HON on the chart, where it shows the Weekly, it says "Not included". My understanding from everything I've seen is that the A6 HON has the same contents as the original (so no vertical weekly) and that the A5 HON has the same contents as the Cousin so it should indicate this on the chart. Did I miss something? I'm not looking at getting an A5 HON but I just feel like it's a big oversight/mistake by Hobonichi.

(i have a plan to get a sneaker mega, take the notes pages, and glue them to the end papers of a normal weeks (insides removed) since im *pretty* sure theyre about the same size, and i desperately want a notebook of just the weeks notes)

I usually go with just say ET or Eastern Time rather than specify EDT or EST. It’s less confusing for me that way.
