    Just heard about Kambwala going to Villareal.
    Would have loved to have him at the club for another year, but 10 mil with sell-on and buy-back clauses is a better deal than we've gotten in a long time.

    • @hansj5846
      @hansj5846 Месяц назад +9

      It's a great deal for all parties.
      Getting £10m with a buy-back clause for a player with 10 appearances is superb.

      @@hansj5846Not really. Jonny Evans is 36, Martinez is injury prone, Lindelof is injury prone, Varane is injury prone and De Ligt is injury prone.

      @Collerz7 Месяц назад +6

      It’s basically a better version of a loan where we are allowed extra funds this window due to selling him but if he does well we can buy him back at a reasonable price. FFP roundabout.

    • @danielmerriman8066
      @danielmerriman8066 Месяц назад +7

      @@johnmitchell2269 Well... Varane has left United. Martinez had two injuries last year but played 2900 minutes or more in each of the previous 4 seasons. Same story for De Ligt - couple of injuries last year (though still played 22 Bundesliga games), but played 2900 minutes or more in each of the previous 7 seasons. Same story for Lindelof - couple of injuries last year, over 2500 minutes basically every season before that.
      Last year was a nightmare for injuries, and that needs to be resolved. But I don't think we can say "So and so player is injury prone" when, really, it was one season. Was Roy Keane injury prone because he did his cruciate in 97/98?

  • @funkytiger6967
    @funkytiger6967 Месяц назад +4

    Literally the only worrying thing about de Ligt is his injury record. Worsct case scenario he's like a younger Varane, will play for like 30 games a season but those 30 would be bangers. Best case scenario he's sorted his injury problems as he's entering his prime and we get a top class CB for the next 5-6 years minimum. He also complements Lisandro really well, he's the ball winner while Lisandro is the ball player. He didn't fail at Juventus, Juventus failed him. He didn't fail at Bayern, he was voted their best player literally last season. If he still has his injury concerns we're getting him at a good price and we can offload him for another decent price. This is a no-brainer. He's nothing like Maguire, he captained Ajax at 19 and had a decent spell at Juve (in their worst time) and a pretty good season at Bayern (before injuries derailed the second season, and Nagelsmann was sacked for a coach whose playstyle he didnt fit as well)

It doesn't suit him. But because of his quality he has been put there alot. It's one of the reasons Bayern are selling. They are bringing in Tah and Ito. Who can cover LCV. Having Upemacano and Kim next to those. De ligt is high wages of the books for Bayern for a player they can do without.
