- New Rochelle Fire Department Engine 23 and Ladder 13 (using spare Ladder 14), responding to a CO alarm on Oxford Road in the City of New Rochelle, New York. Engine 23 was originally dispatched alone for the assignment, but when they arrived on scene, they requested that Ladder 13 be added to the assignment.
The units seen responding are:
Engine 23 - 2013 Spartan Gladiator/Smeal (1500gpm/500gal)
Ladder 14 - 1998 Pierce Dash (105ft RM)

For those of you that don’t take the time to read the description, Ladder 13 (running spare Ladder 14, which is ex-Ladder 14, hence the Ladder 14 lettering still on the truck) was later added to the assignment for either forcible entry needed or readings found. Spare Ladder 14 is a 1998 Pierce Dash with 105 foot rearmount aerial ladder, and Engine 23 is a 2013 Spartan Gladiator with Smeal bodywork and 1500 gallon per minute pump and 500 gallon water tank. Neither rig has a foam cell.
The ambulance moved out of the way to allow the engine to respond. It wasn’t in a hurry to go anywhere.

I guess engine 23 found something, hence the addition of ladder 13?
jazzbutterworth They never said anything on the radio other than they requested the ladder to the scene. I imagine they either had readings or needed forcible entry.

***** It was just moving out of the way for the engine. It went around the block and came back to quarters.
