+LowHudEmergency They probably wouldn't respond Code 3 to that...In this case, it's probably helping out EMS lifting someone off a bed onto a stretcher.
No, that was/is not the case. EMS in New Rochelle, although privately staffed, is very connected with the fire department. Ambulances are housed at fire stations, dispatched by the county fire/EMS dispatch on the NRFD frequency. This call was dispatched for the engine only with no ambulance, therefore there were no injuries. If there had been injuries, the engine would have been dispatched along with an ambulance, as is procedure for NRFD, and it would have been classified as "injuries from a fall" rather than a "lift assist", which implies no injuries.
Cool video! What camera is that?
Thanks! This was shot on a Nikon Coolpix P510, but I have since upgraded to a Sony Handycam FDR-AX53, which is a much higher quality.
really cool video! Great camera
Thank you!
Where I live our county fire department doesn't use sirens for these types of calls. :(
+hldtrm Around here, all calls are treated as emergencies and units respond lights and sirens unless specifically told otherwise.
Nice awesome work
Thanks!
Great vid and thats a good looking engine and is there a foam tank?
TheFonz 285 Thanks! I don't know, the specs I have only give the size of the water tank, but that doesn't mean there isn't a foam tank.
LowHudEmergency oh ok and thanks ever so much for responding
No problem, I try to respond to all comments. Anything else, just ask.
Every truck at my station that has a water tanks has a foam so I guess that there is foam on that truck.
My hometown!
AWESOME VIDEO!
Brian Bui Thanks!
What's a lift assist
Harrison Schmidt A lift assist is when a person falls and needs assistance getting up, but is uninjured.
Thanks :)
