Small Blocks as Static Grid, the one by Skallabjorn. You're able to place small grid blocks into voxels to create a static grid, just like you can with large grid blocks. Well, as long as that block type is allowed (the permissions list is the same for SG and LG). This is _incredibly_ useful for a number of niche applications. You can, for example, plop the tiny battery into the wall of your tunnel and put an interior light on it. That will last for many in-game days if you configure the light sensibly. I also like to use it to create solar powered lighting systems along roads and various other mini-waystations. Lastly, I like to use it alongside the align to gravity feature to create gravity driven drillheads over resource nodes. The design I use relies on an event controller to stop the drill when the cargo is full, and it digs a nice, perfectly straight access shaft down to the resource in question for a front oriented mining ship to use later on. And all of that without using one of the mods that adds more small grid blocks or small grid versions of the large grid only blocks in vanilla.
Some of these mods (Build vision, work quota, mechanical keybinds, etc), and a bunch more are contained in a pair of mods that automatically load these mods into the game, so you don't have to keep wondering if you selected them. If you don't want all the mods, too, the workshop page lists all the mod it includes as dependencies, so you can go grab them individually if you are so inclined. Another mod I like is Relative Top Speed. This mod increases ship top speed to 150m/s, and allows you to set different top speeds for small and large grid. The really unique thing, however, is that a grid's top speed is affected by the ships mass. Make a ship out of nothing but heavy armor blocks, and you're looking at a ship that may reach 90m/s. while light craft will enjoy the full range of the odometer. All of these settings can be adjusted in a config file, including how much weight affects speed, overall top speed, etc.
Color Replacer. its a block you place on a grid and you can edit the color values of all blocks on the grid, so if you picked the wrong shade of yellow for half your ship, you can edit all blocks of that color to be the shade of yellow you want.
Smooth Voxels is my cup of tea, also being a rover fan, terrain is not good and smashes a rover in a few Km and thats if you drive steady, so until I found Smooth Voxels I kept away from rovers, but now are a big part of my game. Nice vid, a coulpe of mods there that I now use, cheers ;)
The thing with the kind of absent colours in Space Engineers has to do with Marek Rosa (the chief boss of Keen) being colorblind. For him this blue tinge everywhere is optimal. I mean it is hard to do some kind of colour design stuff for color blind people!
VCZ Elevator 2.0 is one of my most essential mods to add. It adds a series of elevator blocks. Can even add cheesy elevator music and a string of Christmas lights to the elevator car. It’s a “should be vanilla” mod.
There’s a mod I’ve been messing with called guided missiles which makes the vanilla rockets track its target. The dependency for the mod also allows the fireworks to be used as flares to evade rockets. Add that with extended vanilla combat and the ship combat gets much more interesting
I have used so many different combinations of mods from my over 200 mod pool for different playthroughs so it's hard to pick what is my essential mod for my every playthroughs so here's my list of favorites. Resource & stuff mods (Gravel Sifter) wish you had more use for gravel? well with this you can transform your gravel into little bit of everything, there is many this kind of mods, some are more balanced and some are pretty OP, stone only challenge when? :D (Resource Nodes) too lazy to mine your resources? don't want to make your world full of holes? infinite resource veins? well this is mod for you, you just need to find ore vein and place your static drill down and watch as the ores starts flowing, best part is that it doesn't cause changes to voxels so there was some technical upside too. (Industrial Overhaul) ohh where do i even start? i remember when this came and it was my instant favorite mod of all time, this is probably one of the biggest mod there is, progression too simple? tired of one assembler to build them all? well no more as this really overhauls everything, with this mod you really want to go industrial big. Buildables (Tiered Tech Modules) need more powerful thrusters? power production? ship tools? even bigger cargo? it have it all but you have to acquire some tech components from unknown signals, buy it from npc trade stations, or if you have mods that add PvE then you can find loot from those too. (Elite Dangerous: FSD Supercruise) it's like jump drive... but it works very differently and is more fun, also is configurable to work in planets. (Pipelines) long range item transportation without moving parts, works well with (Resource Nodes) (Extreme Lights) why build many lights when you can have one big lamp to light your whole base? PvE enhancing mods (Aryx Weapon Enterprises) Guns... lots of guns (Defense Shields & NPC Defense Shields Provider) Make your PvE experience little bit more interesting. (Suite Combat Balancer) now you need more than just grinder to take over enemy base (Hostile Takeover) less hassle to take over enemy base (Personal Shield Generators) makes you whole lot more durable but not quite invincible, you can take few shots from those interior turrets and walk it off. Colorful mods (Color Hud) gives little color to your hud (Colorful icons) more color (Recolorable Thrusters) tired of that old yellow hydrogen thruster color or that blue ion thruster color? now you can make it any color you want! works even on atmo thrusters. Other (Improvised Experimentation) goes well with (Advanced welding) since you can pickup and move your grids with your character. (No Inventory Full Sound) yes yes i know my inventory is full (Sleep Mod) now you can sleep in the night and wake at the morning :) (Configurable Parameters) does many things but my favorite part in this mod is that you can chance economy quite bit with this like npc trade stations buy/sell amounts and refresh times, it really makes npc economy more viable when you want to go big. (Blåhaj - Shark Plushie) also last but not least the best mod ever :D
AQD (A Quantum of Depth) Is an amazing collection of mods that you can pick and choose from, i usually go for ore distribution as it gives you a reason to travel to other planets. That and smooth voxels all the waaay
@@Zer0sLegion I have fun making rovers... small and nimble, big mobile drilling/refining rigs, mobile rigs for automated drilling drones to dump their load into, etc. Fun stuff! The fact that they finally added 2x2 wheels is fantastic, as we finally have a more realistic wheel size. I'm convinced that the reason people think that rovers are too easy to flip, fly unrealistically, etc., are they don't get the scale of them. They're driving a 20 ton monster truck 150mph and expect it to handle like a Porsche! Once the wheels are a more realistic size, the scale of the vehicle and the speed you're going becomes more obvious. They're actually quite fun to drive when you get your head around the mass, size, and speed of them. :)
Still remember that Colorful Icons were a plugin before, which was much better. Advanced welding could be also used for batteries, so you don't need to grind them down and lose parts, just easily snap them to your base and recharge.
The 2015, DX9 compatible, Arrakis spice corporation's "overstuffed chair" is a must-have for any instance of space engineering. Speed mods are also pretty cool.
I would like to mention : Life'Techs Power mod, as it actually gives a way to get rid of gravel and turn that into power instead of tossing it aside, sure it is a bit OP but still a rather cool mod and could have a bigger purpose down the line
My go-to (other than the ones you listed here, those are on the top of the list as well) include Eyes Just got Clear, Automatic Ore Pickup, Autofill bottles, and Zero's Tweaks mods. Obviously ;)
I would say the paint gun and improvised engineering are the most useful mods i have, especially since i changed the strength and can now yeet a small ship into space
Love your mod videos! I would love a video about your favourite mods for a single player PVE experience. Searched so long but didn’t found something appropriate.
I prefer the relative speed mod so size of grid effects speed meaning bigger ship more thrust needed Colourful icons has an add-on for ingots With advanced welding I use improvised engineering (grid manipulation mod) I'd recommend cross section projector so you never miss a block building
@@Zer0sLegion it's essential if you're not a very good builder but use workshop in survival it's helped me with better conveyor placement seeing how others have done it... I'm a base builder usually and after 3000hrs I think it's about time to build a ship of my own design 🤣🤣
My favorite mods that you didn't mention in the video are the Deflector Shields mod and Camera Panning mod that allows you to look around with your cameras
0:02 geeezaaa! Haha I have that same starter base on single player, that and the green one are really good starters but imo, this one is definitely better it literally has everything 👍
I also found why ice doesn’t move to the o2, they didn’t build a line to it… best thing I can do is build a conveyor system outside of the walls leading round to the large container because I don’t know about you I can’t find those mediums anywhere, even though the small is a super easy to find because they’re literally all the way around the walls… oh by the way, I added a red alert to it, and it looks really cool in red light,, you know? Rotating lights alarm 1 sound got love button panel systems lol
Gah leaks were driving me nuts. My mod stopped showing the find feature. Thanks for pointing out it's been separated into its own mod. Also thanks for adjustable thrust. It's always annoyed me having to pepper my builds with dozens of thrusters for planetary flights. Honestly if someday a mod comes along that has anti grav I'll ditch them all.
I'd note that the production quota and mechanical keybinds have alternatives in form of scripts, with Isy's Inventory and PARK respectively, and in both cases the scripts come with more functionality than the mods.
A mod that has become a must in my mod list is "Configurable Parameters" it can replace many other mods and is configurable in the game. I use it primarily instead of sneaky sounds as it can also reduce many more sounds than just the tools (like large grid thrusters, I find them horrible when travelling at high speed in space) and also to change the max speeds. I try to stay away from mods that just boost the vanilla blocks like "Configurable vanilla +", I prefer a system where if you want more from a block like the welder you need a better type of welders that need more resources to build. an example of this is my own ship tools+
I dunno why but that mod completely slipped my mind, I'm even subbed to it on steam. And I hear what you're saying about having upgraded tools and stuff but imo, some of these blocks base versions should be stronger, like why is the ore detector so bad.
@@Zer0sLegion The ore detector range is supposedly for performance, since the game was designed so long ago. Increasing the range dramatically increases the processing power needed since it's increasing it in a spherical volume, but modern computers can easily handle it. My rig is something like 10 generations out of date and it has no problem with me increasing the range to 450m. The funny thing is, it's just a number in an XML file... I don't even use a mod. :) That is, for the block-detector. I've not figured out how to adjust the range for the handheld drill.
you should link a steam collection for all the mods, i know that you linked the mods but having a collection of all the recommended mods you showed would be cool.
I like Jump drives and Nanite control. Those are in my essential list. Wait. Jump drives are not a mod. Well.... I like the buildy mod in the start of the video I'm gonna go download it. And I like that LCD one in your other video so.... Good job and you should like Jump drives more.
Two mods that I like and don't think that they're cheaty is Gravel Sifter(It consumes gravel and gives you ores, even special ones(uranium, platinum and more)) the only reason I don't think it's cheaty is because the yield is very low, to the point where a single uranium meteorite has way more uranium than tons of gravel. The second is configurable parameters, it's like yours but it's on a in game GUI and per world instead
I saw this comment, got super excited and went to look up the mod, and... Well it doesn't actually fix the lighting system. It just doesn't let you choose values that tend to break it, nerfing the amount of light you can generate in most cases. Although it also fixes a bunch of silly unrealities like the lines on the spotlights and the ridiculous haze cone they have, so I'm probably going to give it a spin anyway just for that.
Modular Encounter Systems, maybe its cave addon but defenetly a bunch of the others. Does Isys Inventory Manager count? Definitely Configurable Parameters by The_Ich it just covers most of what you would want to change that´s not too specific and it can be done on the fly, at least mostly seems a bit different in multiplayer. Radio Spectrometry and Seismic Surveying, go and find those pescie rocks of uranium and all the illusive gold veins. DSR Compass HUD with degrees especially for multiplayer just tell your guy a heading and whola you both see the same thing. Cargo Fill Level LCDs is hella neat and I will start a world where all my rovers will have tank tracks thanks to digi.
I would love to like MES but I swear it doesn't work every time I use it. The compass is super useful though, especially in MP where you can call out bearings.
I like most of these, but the thruster multiplier and configurable vanilla plus DO seem a little cheaty to me, especially since we have mods like tiered tech that offer the same thing but in a more immersive progression, which feels a lot more rewarding as a goal (and lord knows SE benefits from having more goals to reach.) Some of these stand to replace some classic mods I've used for years; I'll have to try them for a bit.
I kinda just wish they would revisit thruster upgrade blocks. Let me add on a boost block that increases thrust at the cost of higher power. And let me stack them. That way I didn't have to have big internal thruster rooms in my larger ships and I don't have to have the back end of my ship be a giant block of all thrusters. A couple of thrusters all linked to some upgrade blocks would be so much better. Also a half block sized thruster would be nice for making super small ships.
Edge Be Gone! (No armor edges) Survival Subgrid Projection Reset Spectator Less Drill Dust and Stone Particles [UPDATED] Easy Block Renaming Color Hud (1.200) Welder Eyestrain Reduction Autofill Bottles and maybe that one as well: 6-Way Conveyor Hub for Small Ships
There's a couple new ones in here for me. I'm "guilty" of using the B&R mod, and its sister mining mod (That I can't remember the exact name of). I HATE building massive ships, in Vanilla, and only in Vanilla from a blueprint, and miss out on some hidden reactors that are behind 3 layers of heavy blocks, or, that hidden conveyor tube that just got missed by the ship builder. B&R is a saviour for that. If the AI bots can do the same, it'd maybe feel a little less cheaty since it's got to go back and forth to get stuff, but, the convenience factor of being able to tear down ships with B&R....
You do you, i'm not gonna stop you. It's just for me, the AI's feel a lot more fun than the magic build particles. I love seeing the silly little guys flying around.
I didn't mean to say which way is better, and it's absolutely 100% the way I'll play in my single player worlds, without a doubt. I like the spread of options. If the AI bots do their thing correctly, then it does add a sense of 'life". Especially if the AI bots can have the body of the player instead of a robot. Then you've got an ACTUAL crew going on (Not to say having a bunch of floating robots wouldn't be cool either....)
There are some mods that it is a crime they are not actually part of the game i think outside of god sends mentioned in the video is Gravel Sifter so that you can do something with all of that gravel! Also.... i love nanobots ;P
@@Zer0sLegion Yesss, being able to even see the name in the terminal of the object you are looking at is already a game changer (i hate every minute of my life when i have big vehicle with multiple wheels and i have to set them up separately by eg. turning them off and checking which are turned off), but overall being able to copy settings is very needed option too. Overall better terminal management (at least let us hide groups too) and blueprint (simple folder system pleassse) also really needs to be added
We need build mode that aligns to planetary gravity. I'm okay with being all spinny in space but I don't want 6d controls in the surface when I'm focusing on building stuff frfr
My question for these is how difficult is it to update mods as the game updates? Games like Minecraft are a modders paradise up until you have to update the game and wait weeks for the updated OptiFine and subsequent mods to be updated as well. How is this game when it comes to cycling between game versions?
One mod that I've played with, but now can't seem to find, is one that let you break the speed limit by actively thrusting against it, but with increasing drag the faster you went. This gave a point to having more thrusters on a ship, because it would actually let you run someone down rather than just getting to the speed limit faster. (If anyone knows the name of a mod that does this, it would be greatly appreciated.)
@@Zer0sLegion What I am remembering was for space travel. There was no "drag" below 100m/s, so you could cruise at that speed no problem, but going faster required active thrust against the limit. It did similar things to Aerodynamic Physics, but didn't care about ship geometry or being in an atmosphere.
@@darkehartplays Yes! Thank you. That also explains why I couldn't find it from searching, since the feature I cared about most was a secondary feature of the mod.
@@Zer0sLegion Is it ? I always play on arcade and never noticed honestly... I do know theirs a difference between touching a ship/in a pressurized environment vs not.
Why isnt the AI enabled a thing? I mean the one crucial thing that should be in the game is NPC's at outposts that spawn in. Having actual robots to fight instead of turrets is awesome. Imagine boarding a ship in the silence of space, open the door and your greeted by robots playing poker and drinking, only to have them start blasting.. awesome!

Color Replacer. its a block you place on a grid and you can edit the color values of all blocks on the grid, so if you picked the wrong shade of yellow for half your ship, you can edit all blocks of that color to be the shade of yellow you want.
Oh, I really like that mechanical key bind mod. Didn't know about that. Thanks.
This series is exactly what I need!
Glad I could help.
the thruster one seems especially useful for making compact but fast ships, I'm glad I learned about it and the keybind mod
Yeah, I get that. I feel like it has the opposite effect for me though, I feel colour blind looking at it 😅
As someone who is color blind, I have a hard time seeing the colors correctly in game. Have to have my bro help me with color picking.
They should make it a togglable option.
VCZ Elevator 2.0 is one of my most essential mods to add. It adds a series of elevator blocks. Can even add cheesy elevator music and a string of Christmas lights to the elevator car. It’s a “should be vanilla” mod.
They need to add a basic looking elevator in the next update
And a cool looking one in the dpc
That does look cool, I'll have to check it out.
@@Zer0sLegion make sure to read the instructions carefully if you don’t add the blocks in the correct order it won’t work right.
@@mega6076 absolutely! Building an elevator out of pistons just never looks right, is time consuming and takes up a lot of room.
Thanks, there are some golden stuff there! I agree with you even just adding the 'Colorful Icons' improves the UI ;)
There’s a mod I’ve been messing with called guided missiles which makes the vanilla rockets track its target. The dependency for the mod also allows the fireworks to be used as flares to evade rockets. Add that with extended vanilla combat and the ship combat gets much more interesting
Isn't that just the intercept function on the ai combat block
@@XenoL1ght subgrid missiles are different
I have used so many different combinations of mods from my over 200 mod pool for different playthroughs so it's hard to pick what is my essential mod for my every playthroughs so here's my list of favorites.
Resource & stuff mods
(Gravel Sifter) wish you had more use for gravel? well with this you can transform your gravel into little bit of everything, there is many this kind of mods, some are more balanced and some are pretty OP, stone only challenge when? :D
(Resource Nodes) too lazy to mine your resources? don't want to make your world full of holes? infinite resource veins? well this is mod for you, you just need to find ore vein and place your static drill down and watch as the ores starts flowing, best part is that it doesn't cause changes to voxels so there was some technical upside too.
Buildables
(Tiered Tech Modules) need more powerful thrusters? power production? ship tools? even bigger cargo? it have it all but you have to acquire some tech components from unknown signals, buy it from npc trade stations, or if you have mods that add PvE then you can find loot from those too.
(Elite Dangerous: FSD Supercruise) it's like jump drive... but it works very differently and is more fun, also is configurable to work in planets.
(Pipelines) long range item transportation without moving parts, works well with (Resource Nodes)
(Extreme Lights) why build many lights when you can have one big lamp to light your whole base?
PvE enhancing mods
(Aryx Weapon Enterprises) Guns... lots of guns
(Defense Shields & NPC Defense Shields Provider) Make your PvE experience little bit more interesting.
(Suite Combat Balancer) now you need more than just grinder to take over enemy base
(Hostile Takeover) less hassle to take over enemy base
(Personal Shield Generators) makes you whole lot more durable but not quite invincible, you can take few shots from those interior turrets and walk it off.
Colorful mods
(Color Hud) gives little color to your hud
(Colorful icons) more color
(Recolorable Thrusters) tired of that old yellow hydrogen thruster color or that blue ion thruster color? now you can make it any color you want! works even on atmo thrusters.
Other
(Improvised Experimentation) goes well with (Advanced welding) since you can pickup and move your grids with your character.
(No Inventory Full Sound) yes yes i know my inventory is full
(Sleep Mod) now you can sleep in the night and wake at the morning :)
(Configurable Parameters) does many things but my favorite part in this mod is that you can chance economy quite bit with this like npc trade stations buy/sell amounts and refresh times, it really makes npc economy more viable when you want to go big.
(Blåhaj - Shark Plushie) also last but not least the best mod ever :D
most of them are also on my list... and thanks for the interesting suggestions for new MODs 🙂
i had no idea there were so many mods i NEED! lol ive never used any of them, but now i need them all...
AQD (A Quantum of Depth) Is an amazing collection of mods that you can pick and choose from, i usually go for ore distribution as it gives you a reason to travel to other planets. That and smooth voxels all the waaay
I'll be looking at some AQD mods in the next video!
You're not the last rover enthusiast - I love my trucks, and Smooth Voxels.
Praise be, another rover enjoyer!
The chair for a true captain💺
I would like to mention : Life'Techs Power mod, as it actually gives a way to get rid of gravel and turn that into power instead of tossing it aside, sure it is a bit OP but still a rather cool mod and could have a bigger purpose down the line
The planets are literally quite rough around the edges 😉. If you use Smooth Voxels, add my Seams Fixed mod for an even smoother experience 😄.
Yeah, they big wall along the edge of the planet is pretty goofy 😆
OMG AI Enabled/Crew Enabled makes me want to get back into this game again.
This is actually a really good mod list! Definitely gonna use this for my space engineers play through
Thanks, I spent a while going through my mods to make sure I didn't miss any.
My go-to (other than the ones you listed here, those are on the top of the list as well) include Eyes Just got Clear, Automatic Ore Pickup, Autofill bottles, and Zero's Tweaks mods. Obviously ;)
Automatic Ore Pickup and Autofill bottles are on my list, very useful mods!
Build info @ vision 100% needs to be in base game. Great vid. Thank you🎉
Yeah, it's pretty much the only mod I 100% think should be part of the base game, it's sooooo good!
Thank you so much I built way too many ships without knowing where the air leak was and it is such a pain
I would say the paint gun and improvised engineering are the most useful mods i have, especially since i changed the strength and can now yeet a small ship into space
improvised engineering is up next week😉
Love your mod videos! I would love a video about your favourite mods for a single player PVE experience. Searched so long but didn’t found something appropriate.
It's on my list to do but I'm holding off at the moment as the next update is going to improve the PVE experience so the mods might all change.
It's been a hot min since I played my beloved SE but AI enabled sounds like a fin alternative to the usually op auto welder mod I normally use lol.
Oh man, build info is great!
I prefer the relative speed mod so size of grid effects speed meaning bigger ship more thrust needed
Colourful icons has an add-on for ingots
With advanced welding I use improvised engineering (grid manipulation mod)
I'd recommend cross section projector so you never miss a block building
Yo, Projector Cross Section looks amazing!
I love camera panning, I always forget it's not a vanilla feature!
I know right? It's so useful i am surprised they haven't implemented it in the base game yet
A very good video! Several of these (like Build Vision) should be in the vanilla game IMHO!
Build Vision should definitely be, it's so useful.
I haven’t played SE in a long while. These would definitely make the game more fun for me. (Solo Player)
Yeah, I was so confused that it wasn't working and then I spotted he'd moved it to a new mod. I dunno why he did but at least I found it!
Крутое видео. Спасибо что хоть кто-то делает хороший контент по SE.
I'd note that the production quota and mechanical keybinds have alternatives in form of scripts, with Isy's Inventory and PARK respectively, and in both cases the scripts come with more functionality than the mods.
True, however the mods are much easier to use and most servers will want scripts disabled for a variety of reasons.
I'll do it at some point.
Thank you for showing me AI enabled. You're my hero of the day.
Glad I could help
Thanks great stuff 👍
A simple but cool mod is hydrogen thrusters visuals by Mexpex, just makes hydrogen thrusters look WAY cooler than just an pale orange shape
That mod does look very cool!
I like Jump drives and Nanite control. Those are in my essential list. Wait. Jump drives are not a mod. Well.... I like the buildy mod in the start of the video I'm gonna go download it. And I like that LCD one in your other video so.... Good job and you should like Jump drives more.
You can't make me like Jump Drives!
i also love the complexity od edens wrath mod
The amount of these mods i wish were on console 😭
ESPECIALLY THE LEAK FINDER.
A couple of people have recommended configurable parameters, I'll have to check it out!
i love space engineers. but the universe always felt so emty. crew enabled is fucking game changing. i might actually come back with this one.
The mod "Slightly Less Magical Electric Lights" is great it make lights more immersive
I'll have to check it out, I haven't heard of it before.
@@Zer0sLegion basically it make lights able to mirror on structures instead of going through
since I discovered it it is a must have for me
I saw this comment, got super excited and went to look up the mod, and...
@@darkehartplays using it I still notice the lights don't go through object, in my opinion it's still the main interesting thing
SWSE-Rebirth, and the Stargate mod are two big mods that I have to have.
*Looks at weapon core requirement*, nah, you're all right
Ayy hope you're enjoying your vacation!
Lol, I'll let you know when it actually starts 😅
@@Zer0sLegion
I hope you'll enjoy* your vacation! lol
bit of a self plug because i have my own fork of the mod but Automated Inventory Sorting
In my unbiased opinion TIO Industries Weapon Pack is the most essential mod on the workshop.
Clearly unbiassed, 😅
Uff that is a true tragedy MES just gives so much life to the game.
Thruster multiplier's is just the equivalent of placing multiple thrusters, it's not really cheating, it's just saving your space.
I would love more upgrade modules, the fact that only two blocks can take advantage of them is really weird.
I dont have this game but we need a game like this especially with all the cool mods
This should have existed when i was 12❤
You should get this game, it's great!
Edge Be Gone! (No armor edges)
Survival Subgrid Projection
Reset Spectator
Less Drill Dust and Stone Particles [UPDATED]
Easy Block Renaming
Color Hud (1.200)
Welder Eyestrain Reduction
Autofill Bottles
and maybe that one as well:
6-Way Conveyor Hub for Small Ships
Reset Spectator look amazing, I think I need that.
The Build Brothers listed first. As they should be.
Better stone (realistic ore) a resource mode that needs to be in the bass game
See what I mean, he’s getting crazier people!
I'm fine, I don't know what you're on about 🤪
Nah I actually just discovered this amazing item called wheels I've been a thruster boi for the past year but I have recently found a love in rovers.
Wheels are great, I love wheels!
some of the mods i have but some of the others are really useful
Could you make a mod video about 2025 mods pls?
Sure, give me a year 😜
@@Zer0sLegion 🥹
Then you've got an ACTUAL crew going on (Not to say having a bunch of floating robots wouldn't be cool either....)
my personal favorite is vector trust
I've given it a try in the past, it's not for me but I get why people enjoy it!
I love/need PvE content mods. The only thing the game is missing IMO.
There are some mods that it is a crime they are not actually part of the game
i think outside of god sends mentioned in the video is Gravel Sifter so that you can do something with all of that gravel!
Also.... i love nanobots ;P
I definitely think build vision should be, it's so useful!
Just turn off your a-gravity when you're placing blocks.
I love space engineers but I also haven't played it in like.... a year? Crazy
There's not better time than now to play it again!
Theres a mod called ARYX enterprise, it adds a tooooooooon of guns, its so frickin cool
I'll check it out
My question for these is how difficult is it to update mods as the game updates? Games like Minecraft are a modders paradise up until you have to update the game and wait weeks for the updated OptiFine and subsequent mods to be updated as well. How is this game when it comes to cycling between game versions?
Space Engineers doesn't really work like that, most, if not all of these mods will continue to work after an update.
I didn't know build vision could copy/paste settings
One mod that I've played with, but now can't seem to find, is one that let you break the speed limit by actively thrusting against it, but with increasing drag the faster you went. This gave a point to having more thrusters on a ship, because it would actually let you run someone down rather than just getting to the speed limit faster.
(If anyone knows the name of a mod that does this, it would be greatly appreciated.)
Is that not aerodynamic physics?
@@Zer0sLegion What I am remembering was for space travel. There was no "drag" below 100m/s, so you could cruise at that speed no problem, but going faster required active thrust against the limit. It did similar things to Aerodynamic Physics, but didn't care about ship geometry or being in an atmosphere.
Off the top of my head I think that's a feature included in Relative Top Speed.
@@darkehartplays Yes! Thank you. That also explains why I couldn't find it from searching, since the feature I cared about most was a secondary feature of the mod.
On the subject of sneaky sounds... ya know what would be cool ? ... If your visor was up it was louder, if down, muffled and more quiet !
@@Neuralatrophy Isn't it that a base game thing? Arcade Vs realistic sounds?
@@Zer0sLegion Is it ? I always play on arcade and never noticed honestly... I do know theirs a difference between touching a ship/in a pressurized environment vs not.
So we have heard of space engineers but have you ever thought of space plumbers
That's a very good question, I will have to take that into consideration 😅
Why isnt the AI enabled a thing? I mean the one crucial thing that should be in the game is NPC's at outposts that spawn in. Having actual robots to fight instead of turrets is awesome. Imagine boarding a ship in the silence of space, open the door and your greeted by robots playing poker and drinking, only to have them start blasting.. awesome!
Use AI enabled and find out why they aren't a base game thing. They're cool but there's so many issues with them
15:35
Dude... I just assigned two custom turret controllers and 2 buttons to each piston group plus 8 buttons for controlling the first extension of the robotic arm, controlling the last one with the camera controls when i'm mining.
I used two damn whole hotbars full of keybinds, and now i find this?
It's one of my favourite mods for that reason.
