Anastasia, there have been a lot of reactors to Nightwish as of late but your reactions are gold! Not only you are genuine and exciting but you also walk the talk being a young singer yourself. It was an instant sub for me. I was lucky enough to discover Nightwish since day one in the mid 90s (and Marko even earlier from his Tarrot days with his brother). There have been trials and tribulations along the way (Tarja being let go and what followed, Annette and the shenanigans that lead to Floor's arrival - thank god -, Jukka stepping down - and Kai coming on board - and now Marko leaving), but one thing remained constant: The degree of depth, feel, compositional breadth and creativity, execution cohesiveness, musicianship and artistic expression in Nightwish's art form. They have been, are and will be magic. Cheers.

You are so right in everything you says - it is a pleasure to see how happy you are, having found Nightwish with Floor. Theie concerts are normally 2 hours - and please don't forget their upcoming virtual concert at the end of May... Floor being able to go on full throttle for 2 hours? - ohh yes - she is in olympic shape and condition, and she really works on- and takes care of herself including her voice and voice techniques (which she works on improving constantly). And again - you have still only scratched the surface of Nightwish's and Floor's capabilities.... This concert was in 2013 - songs not written to her voice - but she certainly made them her own. But from 2015 and up, Tuomas realized Floor's potential, and started challenging her, which she loves, because it is the way to improve. And it is no secret that Floor has blown Tuomas's head clean off more than once - breath control, emotions and passions, power, techniques - she is one of a kind. And she is such a lovely, modest and genuine sweet person - loving to spoil her fans with covers, stories and other more or less personal stuff on her social media pages. Floor Jansen is a vocal athlete with incredible range, agility, versatility, vocal stamina, and stage presence. She is a soprano with a range of more than three octaves (D3 to F6). It is apparent when listening to her sing that she has spent the better part of her life fine-tuning her instrument with help from several vocal coaches. Floor can sing in multiple languages and genres and is a vocal coach herself. It is incredible how she is able to take any song and make it her own. This woman is a true gift to her craft and an incredible addition to a band that has always been great until 2013 when they officially hired the undisputed Queen of Metal Floor Jansen, making Nightwish the greatest band on the planet.

Amazing three reactions so far!!! There are reactors that, after múltiple Nightwish reactions, reacted to the entire Wacken concert, from start to finish!!! I'm telling you right now @Anastasia Luna that you'll become one of them sooner or later
You probably have the same experience as me, I knew of Nightwish, I knew their songs, I even liked it, but I never was mad about them (irony, I was mad for After Forever :)))), but I listen them only on recorded albums. It is one of the rare bands that sounds x100 better live than on studio tracks, the first time I listen to them live (and it was with Floor, I doubt Tarja or Anette could get me), I was mesmerized.
We don't mind if your channel is dedicated to Nightwish for the next month or more! In fact, we would love it! Like almost all who discover Nightwish, you have become obsessed, as have I! That's perfectly normal. They are that good. I have listened to hundreds of their performances, and they never get old. In fact, I usually hear something new with each listen. Nightwish, the 'onion' of symphonic metal.....they have so many layers!
It's live, but it does have a lot of post production. This was made into a live DVD of the band, and also became a live album. So while the base sound is from the concert, it has been processed and remixed for the final product.

Hello Anastasia, what an enthousiastic reactions you did on NW, love it! Do you know that the band is doing 2 virtual concerts on the 28th and 29th of May? Tickets can be bought through their website and they aired 2 teasers a day ago on YT. Last week the band finally came together again in Finland (they hadn't seen each other for over a year due to covid) for the rehearsels for those concerts. Unfortunatally the day after their first rehearsel day Floor fell ill with a gallstones attack and pancreatitis. She had to undergo an operation and is now recovering. I am so glad that everyting went well!! Can you imagine...after all that time finally getting to work again and then this happening! We wish her the a speedy recovery and hope she is feeling well in time do the concerts but if not....we can wait...her health is the most important!! As you like NW and rock music...there is another band I think you will like. It is a Dutch symfonic metal band called Epica with leadsinger Simone Simons. Very sad that Marco, male vocalist, left the band in January for personal reasons and will not be performing on tour this year. They have a new bassist that nobody knows who yet replacing Marco. He will have big shoes to fill .

Welcome to the army! I am new to them as well about 6 months. When you get through you have to see the back story. All 3 singers are great in their own right but Floor is the best in my opinion
After you have reacted to all 15 of the songs in the Wacken 2013 concert, treat yourself to watching the whole concert, non-stop, from beginning to end. 1 hr & 38 minutes of perfection! Also, listen to NW live cover of High Hopes(Pink Floyd) for a listen to Marko singing solo. I grew up listening to PF, and the NW cover just blew me away. It would be a great reaction video for you also. Sadly Marko has retired from Nightwish, but I still can't wait to see them in NYC also. It will be a fantastic experience. Hopefully my sister, my nieces, and I will see you... haha. That would be great also!
Concert was 1 1/2 hrs. She sang Ghost Love Score with two songs left until the end. How her voice held up that long is a miracle in itself. Play her Romanticide high note on your piano so we know what it is. Sounds like she's in her 4th octave. That may be Emppu's greatest guitar solo. If you like headbanging Nightwish style, play Song Of Myself trust me you won't be disappointed.
This concert was recorded for the live DVD, 'Showtime, Storytime' (It is sitting right in front of me, right now), so there has been some engineering done to the sound for this recording, but as many vocal coaches, sound engineers and composers have said in many other reactions, you can't make something sound like this unless it already pretty much sounds like this. The further you get away from the original sound, the more fake it sounds, and as you've said, this sounds perfect, but it sounds genuine, so even though there may have been a little tweaking, this is pretty much how they sounded.

You're the first person I've seen to comment on how high that note was during the vocal slide in the middle section. I just tested it on my piano and it's a D6. The only other time she hits that note is in her live performance of "Phantom of the Opera" from Beste Zangers.
Hooked....you are hooked. The Queen has captured another soul :-) Romanticide is a solid Banger - Very good choice ! Do yourself a favour and stick to Wacken 2013 for a while. No bad song on that Show....really. Now that you got a taste of the heavier side of Nightwish.....there are two ways to go: You enjoy Everdream...a song that even Floor marked as a Challenge....or you continue on the heavier side with Ghost River from Wacken (with more Marko in it).....your choice....just be sure you do both :-) And yes - Gabriel knows. You probably have the same experience as me, I knew of Nightwish, I knew their songs, I even liked it, but I never was mad about them (irony, I was mad for After Forever :)))), but I listen them only on recorded albums. It is one of the rare bands that sounds x100 better live than on studio tracks, the first time I listen to them live (and it was with Floor, I doubt Tarja or Anette could get me), I was mesmerized.
We don't mind if your channel is dedicated to Nightwish for the next month or more! In fact, we would love it! Like almost all who discover Nightwish, you have become obsessed, as have I! That's perfectly normal. They are that good. I have listened to hundreds of their performances, and they never get old. In fact, I usually hear something new with each listen. Nightwish, the 'onion' of symphonic metal.....they have so many layers!

It's live, but it does have a lot of post production. This was made into a live DVD of the band, and also became a live album. So while the base sound is from the concert, it has been processed and remixed for the final product.

Hello Anastasia, what an enthousiastic reactions you did on NW, love it! Do you know that the band is doing 2 virtual concerts on the 28th and 29th of May? Tickets can be bought through their website and they aired 2 teasers a day ago on YT. Last week the band finally came together again in Finland (they hadn't seen each other for over a year due to covid) for the rehearsels for those concerts. Unfortunatally the day after their first rehearsel day Floor fell ill with a gallstones attack and pancreatitis. She had to undergo an operation and is now recovering. I am so glad that everyting went well!! Can you imagine...after all that time finally getting to work again and then this happening! We wish her the a speedy recovery and hope she is feeling well in time do the concerts but if not....we can wait...her health is the most important!!
As you like NW and rock music...there is another band I think you will like. It is a Dutch symfonic metal band called Epica with leadsinger Simone Simons. Very sad that Marco, male vocalist, left the band in January for personal reasons and will not be performing on tour this year. They have a new bassist that nobody knows who yet replacing Marco. He will have big shoes to fill .

Welcome to the army! I am new to them as well about 6 months. When you get through you have to see the back story. All 3 singers are great in their own right but Floor is the best in my opinion

Also, listen to NW live cover of High Hopes(Pink Floyd) for a listen to Marko singing solo. I grew up listening to PF, and the NW cover just blew me away. It would be a great reaction video for you also. Sadly Marko has retired from Nightwish, but I still can't wait to see them in NYC also. It will be a fantastic experience. Hopefully my sister, my nieces, and I will see you... haha. That would be great also!

Concert was 1 1/2 hrs. She sang Ghost Love Score with two songs left until the end. How her voice held up that long is a miracle in itself.
Play her Romanticide high note on your piano so we know what it is. Sounds like she's in her 4th octave.

This concert was recorded for the live DVD, 'Showtime, Storytime' (It is sitting right in front of me, right now), so there has been some engineering done to the sound for this recording, but as many vocal coaches, sound engineers and composers have said in many other reactions, you can't make something sound like this unless it already pretty much sounds like this. The further you get away from the original sound, the more fake it sounds, and as you've said, this sounds perfect, but it sounds genuine, so even though there may have been a little tweaking, this is pretty much how they sounded.

You're the first person I've seen to comment on how high that note was during the vocal slide in the middle section. I just tested it on my piano and it's a D6. The only other time she hits that note is in her live performance of "Phantom of the Opera" from Beste Zangers.

Hooked....you are hooked. The Queen has captured another soul :-) Romanticide is a solid Banger - Very good choice ! Do yourself a favour and stick to Wacken 2013 for a while. No bad song on that Show....really. Now that you got a taste of the heavier side of Nightwish.....there are two ways to go: You enjoy Everdream...a song that even Floor marked as a Challenge....or you continue on the heavier side with Ghost River from Wacken (with more Marko in it).....your choice....just be sure you do both :-)
And yes - Gabriel knows. Trust him.
