You placed it on directly on grass and rocks, what did you expect to happen !? ... these things are meant to be on hard surfaces such as cement. And by the looks of it you didn't seems to be doing maintenance on the tiles at all, there's literal hay over your deck ... i was expecting this to happen to properly installed tiles ... sorry but this review only proves the owner did not install and manage these properly.

      Always treat them

Anyone knows how long they last if treated? I don’t want to spend $600 (based on my sq) and it won’t last 4 years 😅

I've seen a lot of people say that it will still happen if you lay on cement, unavoidable since it's made from wood and left to the elements. Though I do expect it to wear and tear at a slower pace. A lot of people recommend the plastic version instead because of that reason

Thanks you. I have to say: those tiles are not really to place them in the "free open" outdoor. Its more for a terrace of balcony with a roof or for inside winter gardens.....If they are in water, wind, storm and winter (?? snow, ice) They will work and crack and rotten.

Det er også fordi du bruger det nede ved jorden. Det skal bruges på en altan.

Why would you install this on organic material. This is for terrace and already built decks. They need a lot of drainage. Ive had mine for 8 years on my terrace and i refinish them as instructed once a year.

What did you use to maintain them? I want to lay some on a concrete patio in my backyard

@@youbube426 behr redwood oil is what I use on mine. I have a neighbor that also spray sealed his however I prefer the natural wood look over the gloss look the spray sealant gives.

@@youbube426I have them on slabs and I treated it every year and I still had rotting wood. Devastated as because they looked really nice but unfortunately they are not built to last. Maybe if they are not directly outside against the elements, then they would last but not sure why they are intended for outside.

Had exactly the same problems with the IKEA RUNNEN. Some rotted completely, others are still good. However, I'm talking about a 5 - 6 year in service time on a condo terrace that's covered.
