How did you get the one's that make stright line? I thought the only way to connect ikeas grey runnen decks is by combining one verticly one horizontly....
Time for an honest 2-year review :) how are they holding up? Was the slab already sealed or waterproofed? If waterproofed, do you notice if the water ignores the slope and clings to the draining channels? If not waterproofed, How does rainsplash affect the conceete, both in durability and buildup of dried concrete mud? Ive recently set up myself but it was from another brand, xomposite and probably a bit talle. but even bringing a dust extractor from with didnt help with vacuuming everything under the tiles. It didnt take many rainy days before mildew started to colonize not only on the composite but down on the concrete as well. I suspect pollen and other biograde particles ends up there and and becomes difficult to rinse....so i might have to find another concrete- covering solutuon..or maybe ive bougt wrong brand
everything is well, I don't even worry about the concrete, because it's in the bottom. The only thing is that, like all plastics, it scratches if you use sharp objects on the surface.
How would you clean underneath properly? Do you need to rip everything apart and lay it again? We have tile and would love to keep it clean in case we want our tile look back one day
It has never been a problem. If you saw in the video, I have plexiglass on my balcony sides to keep the kids from falling down, maybe it stops the wind.
@@TechscrewHomemine make a crunching noise occasionally but only on the bits where underneath is not completely flat. I installed mine on top of concrete slabs and a few of the slabs were not completely flat, but the tiles still work great. I laid a tarpaulin between the slabs and the tiles.

Great video. Do you know uf these can be cut at an angle.

Are there any issues with wind possibly blowing them away? I live on a higher unit and can sometimes be very windy.
this can happen, in my case the balcony a plastic wall are attached to railings

no, just use a vacuum clean and brush, at the end I use a damp cloth to dust. I make a video how I clean it after winter.
@@TechscrewHome thank you. Will check it out now
What if you need to wash or raining? Does it trap water?
you mean clean tiles surface ?
@@TechscrewHome nope. I mean like if raining comes over the tile/mat, does the water flow out or it just trap the water?
@@HenryTanSG it depends on your base surface, but on smooth surfaces it runs off/dries nicely
How would the bottom drain out , does water collect below when it rains?
the water runs way just as it would be without these tiles. Only dirts accumulates under the tiles.
@@TechscrewHome yeah thought so, thanks for replying!
Can you get a nice finish to go on the edges if the edge is seen. As I want to put it outside my front door on top of the cracked concrete
no problem :)
@@TechscrewHome what’s no problem? What do you do to get a finished edge
@@rickyshoard nothing, just cut, if you want excellent egde, you can use paper knife ar papersand.

Did you really use the same ones from IKEA, or just random stuff? I've been using these for over 5 years without any problems.
How much did the total cost?
I needed 8 packs, that mean around 170$
@@TechscrewHome thanks for the reply.
How long did it take you to cut and install everything?
Talking. some cold drinks, total take around 4 hours
Woodglut plans are awesome!
thanks :)
I do like the look of these but the hollow plastic sounds like it’ll make an annoying sound when walking on it
that sound is only on cold weather.
