I love to take something old. But not gone all together. Then put my detailing magic on that project. A little effort and a few detail products and Bam! A big difference! Great video. Man. Shawn.
I'm a classic Bowtie guy, but I don't discriminate when it comes to old trucks. Love them all. Mid 60's Fords are among my favorites. This one looks to be fairly solid.
Thanks man! I am right there with ya. I do my best to appreciate peoples builds and work. Pretty solid just needs some floor attention and bed floor replaces
@@left2rot615 Always good to see a salvageable classic saved. I had my eye on a 65 F-100 LB just sitting at an abandoned house. I knew the guy who had lived there and passed away. Also knew some of his family, but someone beat me to it.
Working on the next video. Had some technical issues but am puting it together with what i have . What are you waiting for no better time than the present!!

That polish did a amazing job. Those style trucks are starting to grow on me. Great idea with a wood bed floor. The front bumper repainted white would spruce things up. If the wheels were repainted white it would dress it up also. Maybe some hubcaps. Knocking out the dent in the front fender would do a world of good. Just some of my ideas. Feel free to agree or disagree with me.
All great ideas! The wheels were replaced with powdercoated black wheels ( see other videos) . And majority of the improvements you listed will be coming in the future videos. Thanks for watching glad you enjoy the truck.
A 66 F-100 with RH drive. Cool!Oh, Dude. You played a camera trick on me. My bad😂❤ Take your little pecker and knock some of that whiskey ding out of the right front. Slap a little paint on them bumpers and you've got a hell of a detail job there.⭐️⭐️⭐️
I did the same thing with an old '71 Chevelle I found in the back of a muffler shop. Funny because the car was the same faded green color! haha. Liked & sub'd

Great truck you found. That mic. Is a big improvement. Looks like you guys just starting out. All the best with the channel. Your bid just popped up probably due too all the similar stuff I watch. Just subscribed to see how it goes for you. Tony🦘🦘 Brisbane Queensland Australia 👍
I have a 66 f250 and the front of the bed was bad, but not that bad. I replaced it and the brace with the bed still on the truck, and it was a major pain in the ass. I did it in an apartment parking lot with mig welder though, so that made it harder. If I had a shop I would have taken the bed off.
Hats off to you man! In an apartment parking lot??? 🙃 thats some serious dedication. I can't find replacement bed cross members and floor so we are going to fabricate a frame and put some oak down and use the stainless steel trips you see in other trucks. I think the wood floor would be unique and easier to come by materials.
@@left2rot615 the crossmember I used was off a parts truck that an lkq local to me had. They had a 66 f100, and you can only take parts off of it. I cut the truck into pieces and took all the good parts, and good parts of the bed. I cut half the cab off and half the bed/floor to take with me. I made a cab brace in the same parking lot, I'm on all those slick 60s truck pages on FB but I don't really document much, just before and after pictures.
That would be great to find! I think i will make my own to suitnthe bed and wood. Though i have been looking at cross membwr replacents for other beds that are available as an option. What ever i do it will be soon and on the channel.
Awesome! My 66 project has a LITTLE bigger dent on that same fender. Must be a feature! LOL Subbed and following along. This popped up in my feed. Will be fun to follow along and compare my project to yours. What state do you hail from?
Thank you for the sub.I will have to sub and follow along with your build also. I think the dent was an option from the dealer you know how ford does things. The truck and I hail from Virginia!
I have seen at the least now 3 of those old Ford trucks locally come back to life which they were by the way awesome trucks back in the days. I had a 65 and & a 66. They ride like a Cadillac should. Probably the reasons they got the nic name cowboy Cadillacs. If they had one flaw it was 3 issues with the rear tail lights. One the lights were barely visible and dim in bad weather. The turn signals failed on all of em the wiring went bad. And on the 64 thru 65's series of these trucks they had no tail lights and some of the 66 models had no tail lights. Depends on the production date. By 67 when they changed the body style the F100's all had reverse lights. I have seen a few 66s with reverse lights. Not many.
I still have the 66 I bought in 79. The only electrical I ever had was a shorted out ignition switch. Signal lights were fine, I did replace the turn signal switch in the column once...and tail lights were as bright as anything else at that time. Brake lights were temperamental, as they relied on a fluid operated switch on the master cylinder. Not sure if I've never seen a "slick-side" with back-up lights? You mentioned a 64 in your comment. Although similar in appearance, they're actually WAY different than the 65-66 trucks!
Aint nothin to it ! Run to your local Harbor Freight and spend a few bucks and knock it out. Definitely an improvement. Sounds like you have a nice little collection.
@@bobbyheffley4955 yup. This particular engine came out of a galaxy. The original engine apparently locked up and the previous owner dropped this engine in before he had parked it.
