I have this mod on my UK spec but we dont have homelink here which is a great idea you've done. Mine is off a remote. And everybody saying it sounds bad, for the last time....GO AND LISTEN TO ONE LIVE THEN TELL US IT SOUNDS BAD! The recordings are not capturing how amazing the QF is with the valves open.

Thanks for the courtesy of your reply and yes your mod does help considerably if you like the sound, feel and emotion of the car and the exhaust note without the car trying to throw you through the nearest hedge all the time!!!! Ha ha..... Do you Guys also offer the ecu chip tune that Celtic tuning offer? The bhp boost up to 580odd and rev limiter delete?.... And also for your information a Company near me in Bromsgrove ( Megaflow exhausts ) can do a MID section exhaust upgrade for about £300-£400 just as a straight replacement for the Y system in the middle.... just bolts straight on. That mod with your exhaust flap mod would be pretty damn awesome. But love the vids. Regards Rog
Driving in race mode all the time is the best solution. Its drives the best in race mode..engine mapping to steering the shift speeds are all so much better in race
I love these! I honestly want one pretty badly they come with a M/T here in Japan! But with the A90 coming out there is only enough room for one and I cant say no to the A90
So this means the car already roars by default, it's just that it's muted while other cars are muted not by default but because of its engine and then the exhaust is modded to sound like a race car
@@Monta92 If you bother to look past the bore stroke and capacity, you'll see there are some key differences with crank, angles, lift etc etc. It isn't the same, stop pretending its a Ferrari. Inspired by, yes, same as, no.
To anyone watching this. There's a $5 alternative that's much easier to install.. 1/4 inch nippled air valves (yes, it's on open exhaust all the time) you simply cut the vacuum lines behind the rear wheel well covers that are going to the exhaust valves and install closable 1/4" valves in between the lines that you cut. close them off, and the exhaust valves remain open at all times. . . you're welcome
Fellow IL guy here too. I would like one of these as they look and sound great. Just hear of too many reliability issues for my tastes overall though. Nice work.
Actually they are just as reliable as Ford or Nissan. The engine is a variant of the Ferrari F154 that won just about every award out there for engines. The transmission is a German-made ZF 8HP75 which is also used in Jeep, Aston Martin, and BMW. It's rated to 150 Nm of torque higher than the Quadrifoglio engine makes... very over-engineered. Then the turbos are IHI Japanese-made turbos, the guys who also make the turbos used in Subaru WRX, VW, Audi, Lexus, etc. (They are simply the most reliable turbos out there... also very over-engineered.) The drive shaft is carbon fiber, which they used because it is actually much stronger and lighter than a standard steel one. Aside from that these cars are 100% MOPAR parts, made in a totally new, modernized factory, not based on anything Alfa previously built. It is very much a modern car of comparable quality and reliability to most other cars. Really any modern car is pretty reliable compard to cars from the 80s/90s/00s. Alfa's figures are on-par with Ford/Nissan, better than Land Rover and Jaguar by a long way, but not as good as Lexus or Hyundai. But the difference is, Alfa makes a car that you will love to drive and look at every second of your ownership. Every time I get in that car, I want to drive it. The way it handles, the way it is perfectly balanced, the way it's not too complicated. Sure a Mercedes GLC with air suspension and special AMG everything might be a hair faster, but it's totally un-sexy and just looks like a tank had a baby with R2D2. If I had one of those, even though it is surely more fancy inside, I just don't think I would love driving it the way I feel when I drive the Alfa. I don't think an AMG car is gonna be more reliable but I do think it's going to be more expensive to fix and overall be uglier. YMMV though!
that rear diffuser is nice and its not even carbon... can you imagine it in carbon. ( It would match the rear lip why did they not do it carbon from factory?)
Great mod. But unless its slippery or you’re at full throttle out of corners, is driving in race mod really that bad? Up until 2016 non of my cars had ESC and only once was I caught off guard.
in italy we like to drive "for real" to make "brum brum", we don't need to make noise at a street light just to let the others see us in our noisy car not being able to drive it with no electronic helps/balls

Question, why not just spend the money on a new exhaust ? Not that the stock exhaust doesn’t sound great, just that modding the exhaust would sound even better 😩(if done right ofc 😉)
The intro was awesome lol. Why Alfa get this wrong from the factory I don't know. Honda get it wrong too w/ the new R. How hard it is to look around the market and copy the people who do it right? BMW have been showing you the way for nearly 20 years.

An easier way is to put in race mode to get the valve open then remove the fuse. Then it's open all the time which is better

Mine sounds the same in "d" (dynamic) and in "Race". Much quieter in "a" and "n".

The Forza controller has a program function just like a garage door opener. So it's the same process as connecting to a garage door!

On snow tires it'll drive just fine! Just gotta leave it in A mode and take it easy!
