Shaila ji, you asked why many (not all) pass hate statements related to Islam. -> 1. If you look at India, Hindu, Parsi, Jain, Sikh, Christian can live together but generally Muslims will unable to live with any other religion person as life style and living style is quite different than others. There are many residential communities where one Muslim bought home and created so much difficulties for others to live and eventually all others sold their houses in cheap to Muslims and eventually entire residential community became Muslim residential 3. Conversions -> Muslims rarely respect any other religion thinking theirs is the best and try to impose their religion on others with forced conversions. 4. If you look at world conflicts, everywhere they created ruckus. European Countries who gave them shelter - look at their condition now. 5. Radicalization -> Only few Muslims are radical but other Muslims keep quiet - you look at your ownself. You see forced conversions in Pakistan + You know Mia Mithu -> did you or anyone speaking anything against it? No. Not at all. When you are not speaking, others feel you all are together and partner in crime.

1. "Jaisa Anna Vaisa Mann" - means quality of your thoughts depend on food you consume.
2. Compassion towards living being -> Killing for food is avoidable. Every living being wants to live and not die. Killing other living being makes us ruthless & violent. 5 sense animals go through a lot before getting killed. Not only physical pain, they go through mental trauma as they have human type of minds who can think long term.
3. "We eat to live. We don't live to eat" -> We human have plenty of options to eat. If we are eating to live, then why kill 5 sense animals? We have so many single sense (vegetables and fruits) to eat and survive and stay healthy even.
Jain religion and it's philosophy of non-killing, ahimsa, and eating vegetarian food has had a deep impact on Indian society also.

Almost all Hindus ate meat 5,000 years back, as mentioned in Ramayan and Mahabharat.

Your basic question, why vegetarianism has not been clearly answered in the discussion. Vegetarian food is called SATVIK, means it helps in controlling your emotions. As an example, Jain food is extra satvik and a widow is given super satvik food to control her emotions, especially sexual.

70% of Hindus are non vegetarian now. Most Vedic Hindus are all kinds of meat, including beef. Brahmins and Vaishyas became vegetarian due to the influence of Jain teachings. Right now, switching to mostly vegetarian food is good for the environment and personal health.

Shaila,, one correction. The title on your video is ‘why Hindus are vegetarian?’ Mishra ji explains it well. There are many Hindus who are non-vegetarians. Hinduism or Sanatana Dharma, its original name, has no prescriptions about the human diet. As Mishra ji brings out, all humans are born vegetarians, but many add non-vegetarian items to their natural diet. On the other hand some creatures are born non-vegetarians. Lions, tigers, and snakes for example, are the real non-vegetarians, there are no vegetarian ones. When there was mad cow disease years back, some opined that the non-vegetarian feed given to the cows may be responsible for the disease.
La illaha illallaha Mahammadur Rasulallah tranlates as there is no deity but God, Mohammad is the messenger of God. You see, nowhere is it claimed that Allah is the only God and Mohammad is the only messenger of God. So, other religions worship the same God in different forms and with different names, be it Yahveh, Jesus, or Krishna. The Bhagavad Gita gives humans this license. And, there were many messengers of God before Mohammed - Zoroaster, Mahavira, Buddha, and Jesus. Islam is the youngest of all major religions. The reason for religious strife are the practitioners of religions due to their narrow interpretations and bigotry.
Now, on an entirely different subject. You and many Pakistani young RUclipsrs merit our praise 👏. All of you work to better the Indo-Pak relations. Don't know about others but I can't accept the fact some animal is being killed because of my hunger while I can eat something else eatable.
That's because you were raised a vegetarian. If you weren't, you would know why some people love it. People who've never eaten paneer wouldn't know how good it tastes. In fact, the first time I had paneer, I hated it. It's an acquired taste. That said, I admit it is wrong and immoral. I wish all humans were vegetarians. Compassion isn't only for human beings, it's for innocent animals, too.
