You should have used your microscope. At 14:46 I counted 19 specks on my monitor. 17 were smaller than anything I've ever seen in one pan. if it's still in the pan have a peek-see. lol Great round. Wow. talk about skill. Jim is showing his creativity again! Awesome as always. Lots of rocks, minerals and fossils too! and Yeah that looks like a NICE dark bit of broken amethyst.

First pan Muscovite ? Found some in clay fill brought in to a job site near rainbow lake, and zama lake Alberta area. Even found a rosette of it .Cleaves like mica .No panning up there nothing but oil &gas, mosquitos , horse flies , black flies and muskeg where humans are considered bobo links by the bugs
