    Learn how to play Chess the right way from beginner to master level. National Master Robert Ramirez will take you up the pyramid by following a proven Chess training program he has been improving and implementing for over 10 years.
    Benefits of Playing Chess:
    - Promotes brain growth
    - Increases problem-solving skills
    - It exercises both sides of the brain
    - Raises your IQ
    - Sparks your creativity
    - Teaches planning and foresight
    - Teaches patience and concentration
    - Optimizes memory improvement
    - Improves recovery from stroke or disability
    - Helps treat ADHD
    Chess is an intellectual battle where players are exposed to numerous mental processes such as analysis, attention to detail, synthesis, concentration, planning and foresight. Psychological factors are also present on and off the board; playing Chess stimulates our imagination and creativity. Every single move a player makes is the result of a deep analysis based on the elements presented on the battlefield.
    Chess in its essence teaches us psychological, sociological and even moral values. In a Chess game, both players start with the same amount of material and time. The fact that the white pieces move first is considered to be practically irrelevant -especially because a player typically plays one game as white and one game as black. Consequently, the final result of the battle solely depends on each player. It doesn’t matter if you win by taking advantage of your opponent’s mistakes or by simply avoiding mistakes yourself. Truth is that Chess is an extremely individual sport and our defeats can only be blamed on ourselves and no one else. And this, in the end, only benefits us because we learn to be and feel responsible for our actions and never come up with excuses to justify ourselves.
    We also learn that when it comes to our victories on the board, our opponent's mistakes play a more significant role than our own skills. Let’s not forget that a Chess game without any mistakes would be a draw. This way, Chess provides us with another valuable life lesson: be humble at all times.

    Great stuff! Fischer played it in his only ever game against Botvinnik. The game was ultimately drawn, but Black had the chances!
    I’d love to see more of this defense!! Thanks, Robert! You are the man!! 👍

    Your channel has inspired me so much, I adopted the Pirc as my main defence against e4. I love your teaching style so seeing you go through the Grünfeld and it’s main ideas would be amazing!

    I once considered learning the Gruenfeld, but I changed my mind when I saw how much theory I would need to learn.

      Same here. I considered the Svidler course on Chessable and even 2200+ players remarked how difficult the course was to master.

    Awesome lesson coach. I've always wanted to look into the Grunfeld but wow it's soooo double edged and risky (or so I've heard). Having said that, yes, I'd love to see more Grunfeld lessons. Maybe I'll grow some cajones and actually use it otb 😂

    Yes yes yes.
    When I play the KID everyone has a plan against it but at the amateur level the Gru still has some surprise value. Also it is a simple step to playing the Catalan as white.
    More please!!! hint I love the old book Zoom 001 by Bent Larsen.

    Yes, I'd love to see more videos on the Grunfeld. I played it in my early days but eventually switched to the King's Indian. However, I often wonder whether or not to switch back to it because it is so theoretically respected at the highest levels. The main thing that has deterred me is the sheer volume of theory to learn in the Grunfeld and the reputation that it becomes drawish if White knows theory. Of course, the King's Indian is also very heavy with theory so my question to you is whether or not you feel learning the Grunfeld is practical and worth the effort for a class A level player who already knows the King's Indian?

    Che bello vedere un attacco sul lato di Re realizzato con la Difesa Grunfeld. In questa variante giocavo sempre 10...Ag4; Ottimo video, provero' anche io a giocare 10....Ca5 e poi 11....b6. Grazie per il video.

    The Grünfeld defense looks very interesting, yet way more complicated than the Pirc defense. Perhaps if one studies its lines it's better than Pirc? Idk But I'd love to see more on that opening from you Robert. Explaining alternative lines, secret weapons and that stuff.

    • @Stu939
      @Stu939 Год назад +1

      This would be in place of the King's Indian rather than the Pirc, since it's a d4 defence. Yes, it's more complicated, but it is very well regarded.

    What would you recommend as an addition to pirc against e4? Grünfeld or KID? Where are the differences?

    • @Knights_reverie
      @Knights_reverie Год назад

      The Grünfield has a lot of theory and needs a lot of tactics than KID.

  • @tmbhbnt8281
    @tmbhbnt8281 Год назад

    nice game but I wonder if it's worth learning a second opening against d4 (the first being KID of course). playing against d4 is rarer than e4 to begin with, so maybe it's better to stick to KID? When I'm ready for alternative opening I think it will be an alternative to the Pirc because e4 is much more common

    I have a question that persistently bugs me.
    What should we look for first? King safety, or ensuring we have a proper grasp of what material is on the board?
    Intuitively I want to go straight for looking at king safety, but that reeks of not reading the question properly before starting to solve it.
    Equally, I don't want to overcomplicate things and break the natural flow of thinking and intuition.

    I see the point, but it just feels wrong to give white so much room in the center. On the other hand, I like how the game is more open than in a typical KID. More information, please😁
