Thanks, my jack quit & I'm going to do the same thing, except I'll use that jack handle as a cheater bar or my torque wrench to break tough bolts instead
well, I kinda knew that. But that oring isnt the one that holds pressure I think. I couldnt find a better O ring, only same size. Doesnt hurt to put a little silicone.

@@whtmustang The o-ring needs to spin freely the silicone should not be used.
How did the silicone and o ring stand up to the test of time
its still sealing. its not holding pressure after all
Maybe it's a metric. There may only be a few thousands of an inch difference.
