Shovel Knight was a return to retro platform classics like Mega Man, Ducktales, Mario, and other 8-bit classics. The inspirations are all over the place. What we got was a modern classic of a game with great tight gameplay and an amazing soundtrack from the maestro Jake Kaufman.
