YES... the funny thing is, we can be inspired and influenced by a number of styles and looks, BUT there's ALWAYS that particular era, character, person, or designer that is our core/foundation and favorite style overall. Personally, I am forever inspired by the 1970s , particularly the Blaxploitation era, and my style inspiration most favored from that era is Tamara Dobson as Cleopatra Jones, followed by the women of Dallas and Dynasty for eras up to the late 70's into the early 80's for both work and evening wear style inspiration.

Vintage Cache are known for having some great statement pieces and I really love the vest on Wednesday, which is my favorite look, but it lacks color but make up with a laid-back coolness giving old money. Several looks have some of my always favorite garments like the colorful sweater knitted over layering coverlets and the blue button up with the large lapels.
Love all the looks for summer, since I live in a tropical Island they are good for all year around. The beautiful fringe chal is from Colombia, they are lovely and come in lots of colors and lenghts, I have a few which I love.
The fashion world has Patricia Field, to thank for the, marvelous, Sex and the City wardrobe. PF, herself has a bold, and very fashion-forward style in her daily life. PF chose the white, Tulle $55 vintage skirt, in the opening credits. PF- the real CB.

Love you, you’re such an adorable person, love your artistic flair. But I will say that sometimes “less is more.” Like that black outfit (black & white) looked stunning. It wasn’t overdone. You have such great curated pieces in your wardrobe, if they are too bohemian or chaotic, then you don’t really get to appreciate them for what they are. Of course, you look great in everything because you’re like a model, but some of your outfits are just better. Even your inspiration, Carrie Bradshaw, she would wear 1 or 2 maximum “eccentric” pieces at a time, and very often was more sleek or NYC-Euro cool. I lived in the City in those years, so I remember “the look.”
