"No Brakes" actually,in stage 4 & 5,you SHOULD use Brakes. It is easier to drift using brakes.espicially if you're using a turbo charged car such as the RX-7.
I know it's been 12 years, but I agree. Brakes are the way to drift normal corners, and you should only downshift drift while going at *really high speeds* on a hairpin turn.
here in America, they cut off the Internet connection for Arcade Stage 8 Infinity a few years ago and the manufacturer of the cards no longer made the cards, only way to obtain the arcade stage 8 card is if you buy it off in certain places, ebay is one of them
so far ive only seen initial d 3rd stage in las vegas usa but malaysia is so fast in japanese arcade industries that one simple complex upgraded thier initial d 4 to INITIAL D 5!!! Ive got both 4 n 5 licenses
You can get this game on the PS3 with a steering like the logitech G27. Your missing the car and movement, but you get everything else, i have it at home and its amazing :P

What the hell is the camera guy doing?!? No one wants to see the guy driving. Stay in one position and see the road instead of looking at a shot of some guy driving TF..
