  • The shafts were spine aligned before recording this video.
Used Iron will heads and impact collars. Will be showing how I maintain an edge on these blades in an upcoming video.
Also more white-tailed deer trad bowhunting action to come.
Enjoy. And thanks for all the views and subscriptions.

Well, thanks for answering my question as to whether I could make a poor-man's cut-off saw out of a Dremel.

Great video and setup. I killed a Bull Elk with my longbow this yr with a complete pass through. An Iron Will was on the business end of my arrow. Amazing broadhead. Cheers from Wyoming!

I am not a huge fan of HIT insert, I prefer the half out inserts. But with impact collar, it's gonna be very tough.

Very confused why you cut traditional arrows. But, none the less great video!

The arrows are cut to my draw length + 1 inch extra for the collar. Just trimming away any excess. Thanks.

Odd way to go about all of that. You used a carbon arrow, then made your own feathers???? Also, with traditional bows, the larger the feather the better and quicker it stabilizes. Those tiny feathers are working against you. Also you used the wrong glue for carbon arrows. That should have been a flexible hot melt, not like ferile tite. It’s too hard and too much trouble if you want to remove an insert.

Watch the slow-motion video I put on my channel. It is the exact same arrow set up, just with different fletchings. Same 4-fletch, 3” RW configuration. I found them to be faster than longer fletchings, so your point is invalid to me. Thanks for the feedback though. You build arrows your way when you do them. Appreciate it. Take care.

If you bare shaft tune and get a perfect arrow flight, feathers don't have to do much. You will get less drag, faster arrow, more power.
