There is multiple ways to advance what's gonna happen, in the house i believe you can actually find a magic book and some potions or foods to make potions and the clothings she used are usually used by cultists, vampires and other magic-related people.
At beginning i always thought she was just a elder woman.
But after play a lot you start suspecting about her and you can already guess she maybe has something to hide.

This happens most of time, but when you discover it is like great.
Like if you found something unique and incredible.
This happens all the time with other locations and other stuffs.
Is a game that rewards the exploration.

@@Pokesus I planned on playing again and trying to fully explore. Same with the Fallout series. Because you're right, finding hidden places or unique items (expect meridias beacon) is a great feeling
