The Synthographic Manifesto was written by Synthiola in the need of a movement in the generative AI field that goes against the current approach to "AI art".
Synthography is a craft that uses generative ML models like Stable Diffusion and Midjourney in a thoughtful and experimental way, embracing its limitations and fluidity while reflecting on its harms and dangers. As the term AI Art and its philosophy is dominating the discourse, the synthographic manifesto aims at telling an alternative route for working with generative machine learning models.
