- The recent heatwave means crops are ready for harvest quicker than expected and it's a rush to get everything ready in time.. Don't panic!
No point in escaping if you've got to come back for a poo.😜
This is a very good point.
Agh, that’s what my wife says to me every week 😃
This is the content we crave
it is SO good
Agreed. Top stuff, top bloke. Plus a free alpaca with every View.
Brilliant as always!
Agreed. We, the audience, are spoken to as intelligent and curious individuals. Which we are!
Better then clarksons farm
I think this is one of the most interesting programs on the internet.....
Yes I agree, I just love harrys farm
eYupp
I'm so excited for Harry's Harvest 2021. Good luck and good weather Harry.
Who needs a moisture tester when Harry’s molars can predict 11%
Harry, I find you videos thoroughly absorbing. They’re almost therapeutic 😊🍻
British farming's best ambassador. Harvest time already.
Look forward to Harry’s videos all week, love the garage videos but I think the farming ones are even better. So informative and Harry’s patient manner is just so easy to view.
I was hooked on the garage, now I'm hooked on the farm as well. Keep up the good work Harry
Thanks Harry! Hope the promise will be right and you'll have a good and solid harvest of wheat and Barley this year!
Thanks Harry for making this video when it’s such a busy time of year
I always love to hear when Harry's chuffed. Another great video. I hope this harvest is a great one. Can't wait to hear how it turned out.
The only problem is Harry is no fool and Jezza is a accident waiting to happen .
Harry there are uses for alpaca fleece. We own/breed alpacas and have a shop mainly selling things made from alpaca, hypoallergenic, warmer than wool and softer. You can even get it made into duvets and pillows which are incredible and I am always amazed so many people sell their fleeces so cheaply or even do nothing with them.
I have an alpaca duvet, best thing I’ve ever bought
Nowadays, I find these much more interesting than the Garage vids. The consummate entertainer Harry!
What a difference a few months can make in farming, Harry looks like a new man.
Covid risk is health, age and weight. He’s an intelligent man.
They are wonderful animal the Alpaca's... My mother is a Champion spinner of Alpaca Fleece... and the Fleece really does make wonderful clothes.
Brilliant Harry, looking forward to the next one!!
Fascinating video, as always, I wish you well for your harvest and hope the weather stays fair. I had no idea how organised Alpacas are in their toileting arrangements and have learned so much from this video. Thank you for this wonderful view into farming life.
Thanks Harry, always interesting the farm videos...
"It's great poo!" has to be the best line I've heard in a long time,,,😂
I've learnt so much interesting stuff about farming since I started watching your farm channel Harry! I used to work as a technician in a Forestry and Agriculture department but learnt practically nothing in comparison! Thank you.
That symbiotic treatment sounds like a great idea, especially if it means less need for chemical fertilizers.
Since your excellent expositions on beef farming and the environment in Britain were so informative, I would love to hear your views on glyphosate and the alternatives.
Love these videos. That boyish look on Harry's face as he explains the intricacies of where alpacas congregate to have a crap!
One of life’s mysteries. If fleeces are worth so little, why do woollen garments cost so much?
Things looking fairly good Harry. Hope your luck continues and the weather Gods stay meek and contented.
Wish more folks would wear wool, and use it more for carpets etc....... I do, have always done, and reckon it is well worth the extra cost. Durable, comfortable and versatile; one layer for summer comfort, layer up for winter warmth.
Unfortunately lots of clothes now have synthetic fibres which are totally unhealthy. Shame !
Here in Norway we use a lot of wool clothing in the winter. It insulates even if it gets wet. Great piece of base-layers when going skiing and hiking.
Indeed, lanolin is one of the most fascinating natural products for me, a large range of uses, I’m 26 and have never bought fully synthetic clothes and never set foot in a primark for that reason, synthetics only really have a advantage with sports/hiking uses but even then merino blends are fairly affordable these days and do very well for that purpose.
But is it scalable to large populations?
@@scrottydyer_6821 indeed it is lol.
All this bs synthetic fibers cost nothing to produce and they sell it to the consumer with a premium price tag.
It is better to have fewer clothes of superior quality. I wouldn’t touch blends either as they usually contain a larger % of synthetic fibers than natural ones.
Love the content...enjoy how you are so honest...warts and all
Love Mr Harry's almost childish excitement when he shows us the axel stand. Harry we are are with you.
Absolutely love Harry’s Farm channel it’s so therapeutic watching the videos. Looking to get back into the farming industry as I was brought up in farming and despite the hardships nothing beats it. Also Jeremy Clarkson’s and Jody Scheckter’s farming ventures are also inspiring.
Thanks for doing a most informative video.
Mid winter over here.
Watching from Auckland, New Zealand.
This is the original Farm show on the internet! Clarkson is a copycat xD Very fun to see and so nice to get a look at what farming is today and what it entails.
Clarkson isn’t a copycat though, it’s a different angle.
they are also good friends and neighbours - the farm sale where Clarkson got his first equipment from appeared in a Harryis video a couple of years ago and Harry was taking the piss out of him
@@chrisglover2133 No doubt, I'm just jesting
Both Brits who drive around the farm in Landrovers...about the only similarities, one a real farmer and the other a showman, both entertaining.
Everyone round me is going full out to make the most of this hot weather.. hope you get yours all harvested safely and the weather stays on side for you 👍
Harry's impersonation of an Alpaca pooing will live with me for ever.
Thanks, Harry, for the interesting video.
I love Harry's Garage and I came across this by accident. I have thoroughly enjoyed hearing about how farming works. Very interesting, Harry is a great broadcaster, what a life he has..!!
Next time you’re walking through the Barley field Harry, surely you should run your hand through it, with the Gladiator music playing in the background! 😁
my 8 year old son does that .................
Your content is very engaging and a complete education Harry..... there is so much to learn in life. Thanks 👍
I want to be Harry when I grow up. I'm 35.👍
Harry hasn't grown up yet!
@@markjohnson8352 😆 True
Always interesting to see what's going on. Harry explains things really well.
Your videos are better than any weekly programme on British and Irish tv. I wanted to get on the combine in the end and share the excitement you give us.
A very good presentation . well done
I once read that Alpacas are excellent guard animals for sheep. Some farmers put a single (not more) alpaca in with their sheep. They get on well with the sheep but apparently are incredibly aggressive with predators.
I find Harry's Farm videos almost more interesting than Harry's Garage ones. Any suggestion on good book about cattle and animal farming?
@@MrVegchel 😆
Farmers Weekly
@@MrVegchel 🤣 this is top notch book
I’ll ask the daft question. Spraying a systemic weedkiller onto a crop prior to harvesting means the entire plant has absorbed the chemical. Surely that means that what is made from the rape seeds (or wheat, barley, etc) incorporates the weedkiller which then enters the food chain?
Great video Harry - the fields in Suffolk are a bit behind yours - learnt more about harvesting and shearing 🦙✅
Where is Harry?
Great content as ever Harry. Good to see the L322 still earning its keep.
I really enjoy the Harry's farm videos as I have worked for agricultural machinery dealers and horticultural (garden) machinery dealers so I tend to understand seasons and machinery maintenance. We get loads of unprepared people who assume their ride on mowers don't require checking and then realise that they should have when they are halfway cutting their lawn and the mower packs up due to belts not being checked.
I effin’ love this channel.
Thank you Harry for these great videos.
Always so interesting. Thanks Harry
I just like being informed. We take so much for granted. Great videos Harry.
Love these videos, Harry. Learn so much from them, thanks for sharing!
Brilliant infotainment from Harry!!
Harry I learnt more from this than all the farming programs. Real life
"We don't do escaping" said the Remainers and the Alpacas, lol. Sorry couldn't resist. Great film Harry, hope harvesting goes well for you all, Barley looks great ! lots of rain due this weekend apparently!
Thanks Harry.
Good luck for your harvest.
All the best with the harvest Harry 👏👌
Love these videos. Can't wait to see what kind of harvest you get.
Thank you Harry a great video takes me back to my youth
Good luck with the harvest, beautiful cattle too! Your alpacas are sooo cute!
Love the detail of these videos, good luck.
That Barley is looking very good Harry. Good luck with the harvest.
Keep it up Harry.
That Barley looked good !
Good luck with the harvest !
Great to see barley ready for cutting!! And looks like a good crop.
Barley looks smashing. Here's hoping you get it in with no problems.
Happy harvest ! 🤠👍🏻
Farming and car's, what a great combo. One pays for the other.
Well it better be cars because farming sure ain't paying for it
Excellent video.
Wishing you good luck with the harvest
I used to only buy olive oil but after watching this and clarkson in the last month or two im on my second bottle of rapeseed oil already! Happy to support british farming.
Good luck with the harvest Harry.
Had a drive round southern scotland near newton stewart and wow how much corn harvested already...
Barley looking good and the wheat
Loving the content Harry 👍👏👏
Always interesting. Thanks.
Good luck with the harvest and hopes for good weather!
Harvest best time of the year great video cheers Harry 👍
thanks again for a video packed full of usefull info and data - hope Clarkson is watching !
Best of luck, a lot of the farms around me (Market Harborough), have cut their first cereals, silage and first cut hay. Keep the great videos coming, cheers.
Brilliant stuff Harry…
Magic! Bout time you guys had a good year
Normally at harvest time, your typical farmer is something like "grumble grumble, well, not brilliant, poor price blah blah". That's just how it is. It is so rare that we get just the right weather just at the right time. Great to hear that this year looks like a good 'un. I must be getting old, because it doesn't seem that long since last harvest!
Fascinating Harry 👍
Fingers crossed Harry that the barley comes in okay... good explanation of your choice in seed dressing... as a complete non-farmer, it made perfect sense!
Hello Harry, thank you for the effort of bringing farming closer to most of us non-farmers.
You said in the program, that you use roundup, which is a Monsanto product that has gotten a lot of bad press in recent years because of the likeleyhood of causing cancer.
I do understand, that you are running a buisiness there and that it is not always as romantic, as most non-farmers probarbly want it to be.
I would be tremendously interested in a video about chemicals, aids and products in general that you have to use, choose to use and what possible alternatives would be.
Thanks anyways for your work and for taking us with you along the way. It is very educational!
Unfortunately, you won't get an honest response from Harry to this, he has talked about glyphosate before and he just regurgitated Monsanto press releases.
I love your videos Harry, both Garage and Farm, but I am deeply troubled by the use of such a devastating poison as Roundup on a crop for the human food chain, prior to harvest.
I am certain that in the future the human race will regret that we were all fed poison by our farmers, who wanted their combines to get through the harvest without clogging up.
Continue to use Roundup after harvest Harry, to clean up the fields.
But please Harry, be a pioneer. Stop using roundup prior to harvest on food crops.
You are better than this.
@@seanmoroney5029 yeah, he doesn't give a shit that he and his colleagues are slowly killing us, as long as he gets rich. No justification for using Roundup under any circumstances.
Love these videos 👍
I love how describe everything. It is very inspiring as are you! Crack on mate!
My Mum hand spins. I have a hand knitted vest .. soooo soft and warm
Just found this channel and very glad I did great content 👍
Good luck Harry hope the harvest is a successful one.
It needs to be a good harvest to pay for all his car restorations
Fascinating stuff as always!
Hello 'Harry's Farm', yet another informative vlog, brilliant, great insight into your farming world, very interesting, looking forward to the next installment. Regards, RichardA.
Great video Harry, you do not need to say “ this is for the farmers” People who watch your farm videos do so as they want to learn about the business and understand how the food gets to the plate. Great to see you look after your machinery and undertake preventative maintenance.
Excellent. Thanks.
Don't wish to jinx it but things have potential for you Harry.
All the best for this harvest
Our burrows also had certain locations to "poo", multiple places but still concentrated to make it easy to rake up and transfer to gardens.
Absolutely love your vids Harry. Im laughing my head off, gate open for 4 days "Nope! We dont do escaping". Like Daio says they cant take the bog with them.
Love it.
Do more videos, 1 a day will do and get on Clarksons farm for his next series..
Informative and entertaining as ever.
Happy Summer! Thx.
