You know what I loved, the fact that your thoughts weren’t always one sided in this game. Of course there’s the evil shit that the cult did that made you hate them, that made you want to kill them. Then there were moments when they sounded truly convincing. That their end goal was understandable. That’s what’s haunting. You come into the game believing you won’t believe anything the cult says but the main characters managed to almost convince you. Greg Byrn did a fantastic job as the father, the charisma, the madness, even the love of his people. I went through the whole game debating back and forth if I was fighting on the right side.
believe me, you were fighting for the right side. while the cult makes convincing points that make me think about today's world in real life, and they have good intentions, they did everything in the worst way they could've done it. john seed was literally marking sins onto people and then stripping their flesh from their bones and was stealing land, food, and weapons and such. faith was drugging people, turning them into mindless slaves and poisoning animals and the land, and jacob was literally killing those that were weak, and brainwashing those that were strong in some sick way to build an army. if they wanted to prepare for the end of the world, they were doing it in the worst way possible. if they really wanted to help, they wouldn't have hurt anyone, they would've bought weapons, land, and food legally, they would've tried to appeal to the better nature of people. they would make their message heard. they would end up saving a ton of people, and helped prepare people for a collapse. but they didn't and although they don't want to admit it, they were killing more people than they saved. so yeah, you were on the right side, definitely.
Oh for sure, but I still love how the game pulled you in between both sides, they really made the bad guys, or Joseph at least, very charismatic, able to convince even the heartiest of people, who consider cults to be crazy, it was a phenomenal performance, and he's probably one of my top video game antagonists.
yeah, too bad about the shit endings though, they're basically the main thing that ruined this game for me. and honestly, again, its this game among other things that make me think about the world nowadays, how its behaving, which direction its going. because honestly, the idea for this game didn't just randomly pop in the developers head.

What I love about this soundtrack is how each track is tailored to a character, shown by the outline on the song’s cover. This one, for instance, is focusing on John and gives you a fantastic read on his personality. And to add to that, each Herald has a specific genre associated with them. Jacob is more of a Johnny Cash vibe since he is the most militaristic imo, Faith is gospel since her use of the bliss is like sending someone to a quiet church, and John is what we see here, sort of a mix between Christian Choir and Country that gives him a really unique sound. They thought this through to an amazing extent and I’m so glad they did.
Willing to bet someone showed this to their church-going-religious-conservative-mom/dad/grandpa/grandma and they absolutely love it. They're going to tell all their friends about this angelic choir song that their son/daughter/grandson/granddaughter showed them without knowing that this came from a videogame.

This album is so good. So reminiscent of songs you would sing at bible camp. Simple songs, everyone singing in unison (mostly). One guy in the front leading with an acoustic. it's spot on.
This was such an amazing video game soundtrack and one of the best I have ever heard. The guitar melodies were awesome, especially on this one. What's even crazier is how relevant this song feels in today's climate, and it was produced years before we got to this point.
Over 2 years later & I'm still "religiously" listening to this soundtrack. Although quite manipulatively horrific at times, It is truly beautiful (yeah, that was a bad pun :P )
Ya know the music in this game was great all over. Not just the music itself, but where it was used. Soundtracking the missions for the first time in a far cry title was brilliant. Didnt even know i wanted it til i had it. When that bluesy acoustic rock kicked off on the first open world mission it transformed the game into the best thing ive ever played by ubi.

This album is so good. So reminiscent of songs you would sing at bible camp. Simple songs, everyone singing in unison (mostly). One guy in the front leading with an acoustic. it's spot on.
I'm very far from being any sort of Christian but this slaps. I love all of the angelic voices put together in the Hope County Choir. Beautiful.
The Choir always sounds fantastic, no matter what song. Amazing job on the music in Far Cry 5 👌

This was such an amazing video game soundtrack and one of the best I have ever heard. The guitar melodies were awesome, especially on this one. What's even crazier is how relevant this song feels in today's climate, and it was produced years before we got to this point.
I still come back to this song regularly. It is just too good to forget. :)
Over 2 years later & I'm still "religiously" listening to this soundtrack. Although quite manipulatively horrific at times, It is truly beautiful (yeah, that was a bad pun :P )

Ya know the music in this game was great all over. Not just the music itself, but where it was used. Soundtracking the missions for the first time in a far cry title was brilliant. Didnt even know i wanted it til i had it. When that bluesy acoustic rock kicked off on the first open world mission it transformed the game into the best thing ive ever played by ubi.

Came back to Far Cry 5 six months later. I'm not disappointed. I loved Into the Flames, but the choir version of songs is just insane.

@shawntipton5078 Its well loved don't get me wrong but not nearly enough. Personal opinion though. You can tell there was a lot of love put into this game which is rare for ubisoft even in that time.

Se você jogou esse jogo, zerou, e parou por 1 minuto pelo menos, pra contemplar a beleza dessas músicas da seita, seja na radio do carro ou nos postos avançados.. você sabe quanta paz em meio ao caos, dá ao ouvir essas músicas durante a gameplay do jogo... sério, andar pelos cenários lindos de Hope County ouvindo essas músicas, não me dava vontade de parar de jogar... zerei o Far Cry 5 umas 5 vezes já... o jogo tem seus defeitos, mas certamente tem suas belezas!
