G can link back fierce after CC forward fierce. I'm actually not sure if that's new, but I learned about it in season 4 (Don't mind this if it's old stuff I guess). Using this paired with a late cancel on the back fierce give G unique combo routes. For example: Level 1: CC forward fierce > back fierce > late cancel smash over > EX smash under And G can get some really cool options in the corner: Level 1: CC forward fierce > back fierce > late cancel hp fireball > back fierce > v-skill > st.hk. Level 2: CC forward fierce > back fierce > late cancel hp fireball (has to get both hits) > smash over > EX smash under. Doing this at level is almost useless though. You're special moves are too fast to combo even with the late cancel.
Well, this is the same developer that buffed Bison (Dictator) that was already a strong character, won EVO and has the single highest win percentage online. Capcom buffing G should come as no surprise.
Surprised he didn't get buffed way harder. Usually at the start of every season we get one ultra gorilla character from last season since they overbuff them for no reason. See: Balrog in s2, Abigail in s3.
@@Escalipse Bison didn't win EVO, Problem X did. Not many Bison players make his as far as he did so he should be the one getting props, not just the character alone...
Only thing I can't understand is that VT1 got no changes. The thing lasts way too long, he gets a full combo using every move and he's not even half done with the bar. This VT basically ruins the character's entire design about getting his charges, since it negates the whole charge system for such a long time he can easily make a full comeback without having to worry about his presidentiality at any point of the round.
G saw little tourney time because he came at the end of the CPT. People rightfully used their established characters to get points. I agree G is overestimated due to his damage output and VT1 robbery potential. G is upper-mid at best since he has poor defense, no invincible reversal, and lacks a 3f normal.

Neat how they added a specific usage for EX Under, makes a lot of sense to burn a bar for better oki or a guaranteed seeing as it’s the ender
Remember when Capcom buffed Urien's and Boxer's health to 1025 in Season 2.0 for no reason it all. Same deal with G.
I still find it crazy that they actually buffed G.

@@Escalipse they buffed cammy for 2 years in a row too. It is almost like they got no clue about the metagame at all.

@@ZoomingOut402 dunno why people parrot this like Cammy wasn't also nerfed every patch too

They should've buffed his defense.

abit funny you consider him upper tier when he got barely any tourney usage
